The market lambs are looking fancy with their purple leg wraps! This is my first year committing to washing, conditioning, detangling, brushing, and wrapping the s**g wool on the lambs every other day. In years past always just let them grow on their own and cleaned them up right before show. One of my lambs has almost no wool on his legs so I'm seeing if all this work can help promote some more wool growth on his feet. If anything it's already shown me who will be my showmanship lamb and who will not!

An update on the remaining piglets! We've got 4 little piggies left, waiting for their new homes! In years past, our piglets have always sold quicker than we could breed them but for some reason this year, we've got almost no serious buyers interested in them. If nobody ends up buying these fou, the alternative is raising them up ourselves for meat which would be a lot.

The sheep were shorn for the very first time yesterday! They sure do look different. Shakira was a tricky one because of her neck injury. For those of you who have worked with sheep, you know the key to controlling the sheep is controlling the head but in Shakira's case, we can't control the head. Handling her is almost impossible because of this and we were only able to shear about half of her in this manner. We ended up making a sort of homemade squeeze chute between the shop and a fence where we reached over and did our best. She's not the prettiest but she will definitely be cooler this summer which is what's most important!

Poultryfarm haven't posted an update on Juniper and Sage in quite a while. The two are doing amazing and growing so big so fast. Sage is officially looking for his new home as either a breeding buck or a very friendly pet whether! Junie will be staying here with me and hopefully giving me some nice looking kids next year!

Lambs have arrived! Ginger had a single boy and Nutmeg had twins, one boy and one girl.All are healthy and adorable 😍 This confirms my suspicions as to whether or not Ivy is pregnant, so we are now waiting on lambs from her and minnie.

Hey everyone, I'm still around! Pain is still preventing me from doing much, but I'm OK as long as I'm not moving. Thank you all for continued prayers! I've had plenty of help maintaining the farm, which has been a huge blessing.

I got to spend some time with the lambs this morning while their moms ate breakfast 😂 I'm able to feed solo and have some independence back, which feels great! My mobility has increased thanks to weekly PT.

My pain has been bad again the last few days, so I had to take a step back.Healing is never linear.I'm doing better today though 🙌 I of course had to go visit all of the animals.

I may have forgotten to share Willow and Jolene’s babies born last Friday and Saturday 🙈 Each mom had one boy and one girl and all four babies are doing great. The two mostly white ones are the boys and the brown and white and black and white are the girls. Our next kidding should be in a couple weeks and we may be finishing kidding season in a brand new barn! They start construction on Monday and I am beyond excited! The sheds have certainly served their purpose, but we desperately need more space with all of the babies coming. This barn is going to be twice as big as our last one and professionally built, so we won’t have any of the problems we had previously.

Our barn is going up today and should be dine by Wednesday🙌 we are finishing the inside and have many ideas I'm excited to implement, Knowing what didn't work with our previous barn.
