Aside from their annual anti rabies shots; the 5in1 vaccination is as important. This year's booster shots for our rescues and our community dogs would not be possible without the generosity of our friends from Zoetis Philippines headed by their Country GM Stephen Nardo...

As the official partner of the Ayala IT Park Property Management team we continue work on making the park a safe haven for both humans and our community dogs and cats... today's TNVR meant safely securing 7 male dogs to be neutered and brought back later this afternoon so we continue to care for them until adoption...
Thank you Doc Alice Utlang for sending your team to help us out; Happy Tail's very own Ate Angie Angie for coordinating and making sure the community dogs are well taken cared of especially with the pre and post op set up...

Over a year ago we had the heartbreaking task of surveying dead bodies of dogs who were allegedly poisoned in Casa Mira South.. in the course of our investigation along with our fellow animal welfare group IRO, Naga police officers etc no witness was brave enough to speak up for the innocent dogs (which is always a sad case :( )..but to make matters worse instead of helping..the animal advocacy efforts and advocates was mocked and taunted by this person..these are samples of what he posted...
While we are committed to bring justice to animal cruelty perpetrators ; those who taunt the cause should not be able to get away with it...

From our Cebu City Veterinarian..please note that each of the Cebu City barangay has trained vaccinators.. so please make sure your cats and dogs are fully vaccinated. If you feed our community dogs and they are not scared to be held for a few seconds, please work with the barangay vaccinators to include our community cats and dogs as well..

YUGO Update: Yugo's test results show that he is positive for ehrlychia and anaplasma..both tick-borne diseases..meaning due to his lack of proper care his little body was infested with ticks and fleas :(
He is confined and undergoing his needed medication until he can be safely released with his take home meds..however he can now steadily walk and his foot infection has subsided...
#1 Former Owner update- since no one has stepped up to give additional information on the previous owner or bisan specific area location, we are unable to work with the DVMF and local Barangay officials to locate the former owner and issue a citation for neglect.. so next time guys, if you have the courage to report but not help in the investigation, the likelihood of seeing a repeat offender is high..mo usab gyud to ang owner kay wala ma tagam..there will be another dog nga ma victim..cute as a puppy then neglected inig dako :( ...
#2 Funds - thank you to those who donated direct sa clinic or through Happy Tails..we already paid what we gathered..will post a donation if ma short ta sa bill
#3 Adopter- we finally found a suitable family who can give YUGO a better life. YUGO will go to his new home after he gets discharged next week and continue on his journey to full recovery..

Remember Tisan? One of the community dogs (lets not call them strays..they are part of our community :) and now adopted by 8 Banawa Centrale..she just got ligated today! Her other friends have been neutered months ago...

DVMF School Tour Day 1

What Rabies Is 3. How to Prevent Rabies Infection As usual, Happy Tails Ambassador, Hope, was the center of attention. ๐พ
๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐จ๐ฝ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ! Blaze is so much healthier and prettier than when we first saw her. After being treated for skin disease, spayed, bathed regularly, and properly fed, sheโs gained some weight and her fur is starting to grow thicker. Oh what some basic TLC can do! Thank you Doc Ryan Yandug and Blazeโs 2 benefactors. We will be transporting her to Busay so she can be with her babies. Reunion vid soon! ๐พ๐ฉท *Blaze and puppies are still UP FOR ADOPTION. Message us to inquire. Adopters will be thoroughly screened. *If you would like to donate for Blazeโs vet bills, please message us. Even the least amount will help.
๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ก ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ & ๐ฃ๐จ๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฆ ๐พ The puppies have been discharged from Dr. Yandugโs clinic. 3 out 4 survived. Unfortunately, 1 died of parvo. These babies are now being fostered in Busay. Theyโve been vaccinated and dewormed. Their skin has tremendously improved after treatment. Doc Ryan and his staff made sure the puppies were bathed twice a week with their special shampoo. Hazel made sure they were well-fed at the clinic. They are super behaved and good-tempered doggies. UP FOR ADOPTION. Message us if interested. We will screen potential adopters THOROUGHLY. The Case of Blaze the Husky and Her Puppies
๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐๐ธ๐ We went on a rescue mission to save a neglected mama dog and her 4 puppies from their owner. This is the same place where 40 dogs were rounded up and poisoned. The owner just lets her breastfeeding dog, Blaze, roam around the village, all skin and bones with obvious signs of disease. Neighbors reported the incident to us, even sending photos of puppies that already died so we had to take action. THANK YOU: Yandug Animalcare for helping us, as always. You guys are the best!
