Little Yona needs a home!

Little Yona was found wandering around alone in a small chapel in Tisa, and is now being cared for by Yandug Animal Care Clinic.

She's very fiesty, loves to pester the other big dogs and initiate play, and is very comfortable snuggling inside your jacket for a little bit of warmth.

If you want to open your home and shower Yona with some much-needed love, send us a message!

As the chosen animal welfare partner to help oversee the welfare of the community dogs of the Cebu Business Park; we work on ensuring that the community dogs are regularly fed, dewormed along with not just anti rabies but the 5in1 vaccination shots.

Thank you to DVMF team headed by Doc Utlang who is just a message away if we need CNVR (CATCH, NEUTER, VACCINATE, RELEASE) assistance :)

Best of all, a big appreciation and kudos to the Ayala group..not only are they a successful business enterprise but they balance it well for truly caring about the community where they are located which includes the community animals..

We have seen so many other Cebu business establishments and property developers who turn their backs on these concerns..along with homeowners associations who prefer the dogs to be impounded.. those dogs even established residence long before you did ;) more "lumad" than you ;) saying

Let the advocacy continue with businesses with a heart ❤️

Happy Tails PH Partners with Simply Share Foundation to Ensure Healthier TNVR Successes

Cebu City, Philippines – In a significant stride towards improving the welfare of community animals, Happy Tails Animal Welfare Organization, Inc. has officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Simply Share Foundation, a Cebu-based food bank accredited with the Global Foodbanking Network (GFN). The partnership aims to address a key component of animal welfare by ensuring that stray and community dogs and cats receive proper nutrition, essential for their overall health and well-being.

Happy Tails PH is known for its commitment to animal welfare through its Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program, a humane method of controlling the stray animal population. The health and strength of these animals are vital to the success of this initiative, particularly during surgery and recovery. By partnering with Simply Share Foundation, the organization seeks to ensure that these animals are well-fed and in optimal condition before they undergo TNVR procedures.

“We’ve seen how the overall health of the animals significantly affects the outcome of TNVR surgeries. Well-nourished animals are better prepared, and their recovery is faster,” said Hazel Aguisanda, President and Co-Founder of Happy Tails PH. “Our partnership with Simply Share is a crucial step forward in enhancing the success rate of our TNVR efforts.”

Simply Share Foundation, a pioneer in food redistribution, focuses on addressing hunger in marginalized communities. By expanding its advocacy to include community animals, the foundation is extending its mission to a new frontier, recognizing the integral role that animal health plays in maintaining a balanced ecosystem.

"At Simply Share, we believe that no life—human or animal—should go hungry. Our collaboration with Happy Tails allows us to support a cause that not only aligns with our mission but also uplifts the lives of animals that are often overlooked," said a Simply Share representative.

Through this collaboration, Happy Tails PH will receive a steady supply of nutritious food for community dogs and cats, ensuring they remain healthy and better prepared for TNVR surgeries. The partnership is expected to improve the outcomes of the program significantly, with healthier animals leading to more successful surgeries and fewer complications.

The initiative also reflects both organizations' shared commitment to Cebu's community welfare, with the vision that healthier animals contribute to safer, more harmonious neighborhoods. As the partnership develops, Happy Tails PH hopes to further reduce the stray animal population while providing compassionate care to the city's homeless pets.

Cebu Business Park Signs MOA with Happy Tails Animal Welfare Organization Inc. and Paw Pantry Mission

Cebu City—In a move to enhance community animal welfare efforts, Cebu Business Park has officially partnered with Happy Tails Animal Welfare Organization Inc. and Paw Pantry Mission through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing.

The collaboration will see Happy Tails actively manage and care for the community dogs residing in the business park area.

The partnership highlights Cebu Business Park’s commitment to creating a pet-friendly and humane environment for its community animals. Happy Tails will focus on the welfare, rehabilitation, and responsible management of the dogs, ensuring they are safe, healthy, and well taken care of.

Meanwhile, the Paw Pantry Mission will continue its work with the community cats, focusing on providing care, nourishment, and advocating for the protection of the feline population within the business district. This joint effort will enhance animal welfare advocacy and set an example of responsible community management.

Happy Tails’ efforts reflect their broader mission of compassion and care, promising a harmonious coexistence between humans and animals within the park’s vibrant community. To date, Happy Tails Animal Welfare Organization, Inc is also the official partner of the Ayala IT Park Group.

Special thanks to Mr. Gerald Oporto, Estate Manager and to Ms. Jinky Balcos, Associate Director fo the Visayas and Mindanao Group. Both Sir Gerald and Ms. Jinky are animal lovers and advocates which will surely add to the success of the partnership.

We hope that the example shown by the Ayala Group will serve as a good example to other business establishments (especially property developers) that our community dogs and cats will always be part of a harmonious eco system... let's work together to make this happen...

Back in May, we responded to a reported neglect case..we rescued Yugo, he was diagnosed with tick borne diseases and the worst part was his paralysis triggered by nerve injury issues...

After 5 months with Doc Ryan, even with a slight limp Yugo can now walk around..

We had to take Yugo in our Happy home instead after discharge since the potential adopter's condominium does not allow dogs of Yugo's size :(

With over 5 months in the clinic..his bill is quite significant (clinic is still preparing final bill)..any donation you can extend will go a long way, you can pm us :) ..we will also be preparing a special fundraising for Yugo and the rest of rescues...please watch put for that..

Thank you Yandug Animal Care Clinic Ryan Sumicad Yandug for taking care of Yugo these past critical months...

In the meantime we are unable to pursue a case against the former owner since the reporter is not wiling to witness..this is one of the reasons why perpetrators are not brought to justice :(
