Please join us in welcoming Dr. Megan Theisen to IVS! We are so excited to announce Dr. Megan will be joining our doctor team in September, and we are thrilled to have her with us. Her compassion and knowledge will be a perfect addition to the IVS family. We can't wait for you to meet her! 💗

🐾About Dr. Megan:🐾

My love of animals began at an early age and fortunately I had an aptitude for science and math. I used opportunities in school and 4-H to further my interest and knowledge of animals. I spent much of my free time in high school and undergraduate studies in veterinary clinics to learn about the profession and gain experience. I am fortunate to be a double alumni of the University of Wisconsin - Madison earning my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2015 and graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2019.

Through various experiences while in school I developed a keen interest in integrated medicine in order to provide another option for treatment and particularly pain control to my patients. Part of this interest stemmed from my own desire to find alternative treatments to my own personal health concerns. Therefore, I became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2018 after completing the Mixed Animal Acupuncture course . Then in 2019 I completed a veterinarian exclusive course to become a Certified Veterinary Equine Medical Manipulation Practitioner. In 2021 I completed the small animal veterinary medical manipulation course. I have been incredibly fortunate to meet many amazing practitioners along the way who have been invaluable mentors to me.

In my free time I enjoy riding horses in the Kettle Moraine, playing piano, reading and spending time with my fiance and family. I currently own a Haflinger horse (Mia), a 11 year old Blue Russian mix cat (Sumi) and 16 week old German Shepherd (Aila).

Today, as we commemorate a monumental 25-year milestone at Chi University, we feel both humbled and appreciative. We stand proudly, having been a beacon of TCVM and other integrative veterinary modality education that's practical, empowering, and globally relevant. This vision, born a quarter-century ago, has allowed us to positively shape the global veterinary community.

Our vibrant journey has been characterized by unwavering commitment to driving innovation, fostering excellence, and training over 10,000 veterinarians from an expansive 75 countries and regions. Guiding these professionals towards integrative practices has been both an honor and a privilege.

As we embark on the next exciting phase of our journey, we look forward to what the next 25 years will bring to the realm of integrative medicine. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of the Chi community - students, alumni, staff, and supporters from across the globe. This is not just our milestone, but a shared achievement of our global Chi University family. Here's to continuing the journey together!

Today we celebrate National Horse Day. Their loyalty and devotion throughout history may only be a fraction of the reasons why we love them. Not just a means of transportation and utility, the horse has been our friend and companion for years.
