Meet our newest foster, LILLY!
Lilly is a 4-year-old female Poodle with a coat of curly fur, a nice mix of soft and wiry, in a peanut butter shade. She stands at 18” tall, is 22” long, and weighs about 20 pounds.

Although Lilly is a breeder release, you’d never know it. She’s an incredibly happy, sweet, friendly, and affectionate girl whose tail always wags excitedly! She bounces around the house with excitement and curiosity, happily following us to check out where we are going and what we are doing. Lilly quickly mastered the steps, and this newfound freedom brought her so much happiness, letting her move around with us freely.

She’s become incredibly loyal and loves being with us. When it's time to relax, she happily curls up next to us on the couch, soaking up endless pets. She’s very comfortable being picked up and held as well.

Lilly is settling in nicely into our home and our family routine. Living in a house looks completely natural to her. She continues doing her business outside and doesn’t mind the snow! She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and in the mornings, she enjoys sleeping in. She loves her food, treats, and bones and was great during her bath and grooming. She rides well in the car and is very curious about the sights out her window.
She is entirely comfortable with our dog, and although she does not seem interested in playing with her, she properly respects her space. Lilly enjoys her walks and does well on a leash, making her an excellent walking buddy.

Lilly is more than ready to start her next chapter with her forever family. She is truly a special girl with so much love to offer. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet, and affectionate companion, Lilly is your Girl!

It’s a PUP update on our sweet Max!

“It’s almost two weeks and Max has adjusted greatly. While it’s just my husband and I in the house, Max is completely spoiled and loved deeply. He’s got his own toys and two comfortable doggy beds to sleep in daily.

We could not have asked for a better dog to be our first dog.”❤️

Big news! Max, our lovable senior pup, found his perfect forever family! What makes this story even more special? Max's new mom and dad saw the incredible value in an older dog and opened their hearts to him without hesitation.
We couldn’t be more excited for Max—his story is a great reminder that it’s never too late for a dog to find their forever home and experience the love they deserve. ❤

Meet Max! Max is a charming 12-year-old Wire Fox Terrier, born in 2012. He has soft, short fur, primarily white, with adorable brown, grey, and tan patches that add to his sweet look. Despite his photos making him seem larger, he's only 18" tall & 25" long.

Max may be new to our home, but he’s adjusted wonderfully and has been nothing short of a gentleman. It has been a very easy transition welcoming him into our home. He’s polite, well-behaved, and a pleasure to have around.
Although he has hearing loss, he willingly responds to our cues and enjoys being part of whatever we do. Max is confident, calm, and curious—he loves to follow us from room to room, keeping just enough distance not to be underfoot yet always staying involved.
He hasn’t jumped up on any furniture and waits patiently for us to settle in before he comes over for pets and affection, which he Loves!
Max enjoys finding a sunny spot for a long nap when things quiet down.
Max will stand by the door when ready to go outside and takes care of his business quickly, even in these freezing temperatures.

Though he's a senior, Max is still quite active! He loves playing with squeaky toys and often carries them to his kennel for solo fun. While it’s been too cold for long walks, he was a fantastic walker at the shelter, and we’re looking forward to getting him outside when the weather warms up.

Max is a sweet, calm companion with a gentle nature—he will be an easy and rewarding addition to anyone’s home.

We are thrilled to announce that sweet Debbie, now Chloe, has found her forever home just in time for Christmas! 🐾 We are so happy to see Chloe start this new chapter in her life. Congratulations, Chloe, and thank you to her wonderful new mom for opening your heart to this sweet girl! 🎁🐶💖

*I can’t say enough wonderful things about Debbie! She is sweet, gentle, loving, loyal, and fun! Is she doing great? Absolutely!
But... she’s not perfect. As a rescue from a breeder mill, anything new can be overwhelming and stressful. Transitions are challenging. Debbie's new family will need patience, understanding, and much knowledge* to help Debbie realize that she is still safe, loved, and cherished! I am so happy Debbie is back with us until she finds her perfect forever family!

Debbie has been with us for about two weeks now, and she’s adjusting beautifully.
She has become more comfortable and confident in her new environment and family routine. She is so easygoing, with a calm, gentle demeanor. She is as sweet as they come.
Sometimes, we forget that she’s still a young girl.

However, as Debbie has become more confident, she is starting to show her youthful and playful side. She’s been moving her toys around and has even had a few fun bouts of Zoomies!

Debbie is alert and curious, always keeping an eye on her surroundings. She responds well to her name and is eager to engage with her people. One of her favorite pastimes is being outside. Whether exploring the gardens or simply lying in the grass watching the world go by, Debbie loves soaking up the outdoors. We’ve also taken Debbie to the dog park several times, where she’s done great. She loves exploring all the smells and meeting new friends, but she’s still figuring out how to engage in play with her new friends.

She’s proven to be house-trained and signals when it’s time to go outside. She’s also decided to sleep with us at night rather than in her crate. We no longer crate her when we leave; she has been well-behaved while away. Her crate is still available to her, though, and she enjoys spending some quiet time there during the day.

Debbie loves to be near her people and is a fabulous lap dog. She waits patiently for you to sit down so she can snuggle up and enjoy some extra love.

Debbie is an excellent companion and will easily transition to a new family and home.

🐾Meet Debbie! How is it possible that this adorable little girl hasn’t been scooped up yet? 🐾
Debbie is the cutest Shih Tzu / Bichon Frise mix who has already captured our hearts! 😍
She is 3 ½ years old (born 6/29/21), weighs about 11 lbs, and has a soft, wavy coat that is peanut butter-colored with white and grey spots.

Debbie is the definition of sweet. She’s a gentle, patient, and tolerant little lady who adores her people and thrives on affection. Whether curled up in your lap or tucked into your arms, Debbie is happiest when she's close to you. She’s a low-energy, calm girl who, with just a bit of love, will close her eyes and drift into a peaceful nap.
Debbie enjoyed her time in the yard this past weekend supervising our fall cleanup. She took her role as “supervisor” very seriously, checking out all the sights and smells while we worked. And yes, if you peek at her photos, you might catch her in a very important snooze break on the job! 🤣

While she was a little nervous when she first came to us, Debbie has quickly settled into her new home and routine. She’s learning to trust and is adapting beautifully to family life.
What We’ve Learned About Debbie:
🐾 Very social and gets along great with other dogs
🐾 Can easily manage stairs
🐾Walks well on a leash
🐾Loves to eat
🐾Quiet at night and keeps her kennel clean until morning
🐾A big fan of belly rubs (who isn’t?)
🐾Loves to lay in the grass and get more belly rubs 🌞
🐾Found her favorite chair and loves to nap there during the day

Debbie is an easygoing and affectionate girl who will make a wonderful addition to any home. She will fit seamlessly into your life, whether you’re looking for a loving companion to relax with or a sweet, snuggly friend to share your space.

IT'S A PUP UPDATE!
Inari, now affectionately called Ari, is slowly adjusting to her new home and new family! ❤ She recently got a stylish haircut and looks absolutely adorable. Ari enjoyed a fun girls' trip to Michigan and had a great time meeting all the ladies. She loves her daily walks, is learning to play with her toys, and is getting comfortable with her sunny perch in the sunroom. For Halloween, she dressed up as the Grinch. She snuggles into her bed at night with her cozy blanket and favorite stuffed toys. Life is looking fantastic for sweet little Ari! 🥰🥰🥰

As the weather cools down, do you need a perfect lap warmer? Look no further—Cuckoo is here to save the day! This adorable girl is a top contender for the "Best Lap Dog." With her beautiful doe eyes, she’ll ask, “Is it time to snuggle?” And once she’s settled in, you can bet she’s all in for the long haul—even if it gets warm!
Cuckoo has been with us for about two weeks and has quickly adapted to our home and routine. As a breeder-release pup, she doesn’t carry the typical challenges that many dogs face.
Cuckoo is as sweet as they come, greeting us with happy feet and tail wagging every time we walk through the door.
During the day, she loves to follow us around, enjoying moments of playful energy but ultimately preferring to lounge in your lap, soaking up all the love and attention. She’s generally a quiet pup, rarely barks and has a mellow demeanor. Cuckoo gets along well with other calm dogs and sleeps peacefully in her kennel at night, always keeping it clean in the morning.

This lovely lady rides well in the car, is excited to take walks, tolerates her baths, and enjoys the warmth of a hairdryer post-grooming. She’s mastered stairs and confidently navigates doorways. She likes her toys and a good chew bone.

The clock is ticking, and it’s time for Cuckoo to find her forever family!
