📣C&J Snuffle Mats is closing up shop!📣

What started simply as a way to pass time during the pandemic and give back to the rescue we volunteer with, Bright Eyes Dog Rescue, C&J Snuffle Mats was born.

We (Candace & Jessica) never intended this to be a long term venture but the support we were shown and the initial demand showed us there was a need. So we continued!

Now that lives are returning to ‘normal’ we find ourselves busy and occupied in other ways.

⭐️We have a limited number of snuffle mats remaining to be sold!⭐️
These are all 1ft x 1ft and are pre-made. (photos to come soon!)

We are hoping that you’ll help us sell these final mats and make one last donation to Bright Eyes Dog Rescue!

These adorable 6 week old pups are showing off their snuffle skills! 🥰

They are learning self control, working their senses and brain 🧠 while they eat their kibble.

📬 Message us to get your furry family member a snuffle mat - there are lots of colour combos available!

Doggos just like these cuties named Betty Crocker and Wolfgang Puck! These babies came into care along with their siblings at only 1 day old and needed to be bottle fed. They are part of the Chef Litter and will be available for adoption in a couple more weeks through Bright Eyes Dog Rescue!

On days like today; when us hoomans would rather not head outside with our pups; a snuffle mat is a great way to help them burn some energy and keep them busy!

🧠 Get them using their sense of smell and their brain to find treats or their food dispersed throughout the strands of the snuffle mat.

👀 Kick it up a notch by hiding their snuffle mat somewhere in the house and letting them hunt for it first!

With the New Year upon us; we wanted to take this moment to say THANK YOU!!

While we did not reach our Christmas Goal of 200 mats; we did sell 65 mats which means an additional $325 donated to Bright Eyes Dog Rescue!!

This brings our 2021 total donations to $1,525!! This is all thanks to you, our pupstomers!

What started as a ‘small’ fundraiser and a winter craft; turned into our small endeavour - we are so grateful for this opportunity.

The need to place dogs this year has been overwhelming and with the freezing temperatures coming; we are trying to find warm places for these pups to go on their way to their BEDR life!

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED! 🙏

As the weather drops, the calls for help increase sadly. 📞

So many puppies born to freezing weather need a warm place to stay, injured dogs don’t stand a chance alone, and surrenders are always a reality unfortunately.😢

But you can help! Ever thought about “testing out dog-parenthood” before committing to one of your own? Now’s your chance!

The pros of fostering👇

✅We supply everything - You will never have any out-of-pocket expenses, just your time and love! 💖
✅You can choose your foster - You can be selective about the types of dogs you foster; from age, to training level, to breed or size, you only foster the dogs you are prepared to foster.🐕
✅It’s like having a part-time pet - Some people simply aren't able or willing to commit to owning a dog full time, fostering is a nice way to have a dog for a while, and then wish them well in their fur-ever home.🏡
✅Dip your toe into dog ownership - Fostering is a great way to see if you are really ready for a dog, without committing or spending a dime!💸
✅Join a network of information and experts - We have a dedicated Group that are happy to answer any questions, mentor, help out, provide respite care if you need to go away for a while, share advice and stories, and so much more.😊
✅It’s good for your soul - Volunteering to help rescue stray, abandoned, or unwanted dogs is a really awesome feeling.💞

What you need to know👇

👉It’s a minimum 2 week commitment - Puppies are usually a two-week turnaround, but sometimes older dogs can take longer depending on a few factors.📅
👉Patience is a virtue - Sometimes a new place can be scary for a dog. Fosters must be kind and patient with dogs as they adjust to a new environment, and understand that there may be accidents or whining in the beginning. Fosters of adult dogs may also need to work with our trainers on any behavioural corrections, but rest assured we are always fully transparent about any issues, and would never foster out a vicious dog.🙅‍♀️
👉Dogs shed and track in dirt - It’s a reality, even non-shedding dogs leave muddy paw prints or wet nose prints in their wake. If you are very house proud, be prepared to whip out the vacuum! 🐾

We donated one of our snuffle mats for this amazing basket of goodies!! There’s earrings, jam, coffee and coffee mugs, crocheted dish cloths, lotion, soaps, and a bottle or two of some yummy wine! All hand made and locally crafted items! 😍🥰

Tickets are $5 and all funds go to Bright Eyes Dog Rescue! Draw is being made on December 1st!

Come on down to the Hungarian Cultural & Social Club (Regina) until 4pm!

We are set up with our Snuffle Mats, along with The Lantern Shop, and some adorable ‘Dog Mom’ keychains from qd beads!

We are also helping sell tickets for a handmade teddy bear made from up-cycled fur coats. Proceeds are being used to purchase gifts for 35 families this Christmas! 💚❤️💚❤️

What’s a snuffle mat? It is a mixture between a slow feed bowl and a brain game! Dogs (and even cats!) use their sense of smell to locate treats or kibble hidden within the strips of fabric. This helps them burn mental energy! Perfect for poor weather days or for when you need to limit physical activity!
