😢‼️🚨 BEING EUTHANIZED IF NOT RESCUED!
His family reclaimed him just to starve him and leave him outside in the heat and during storms.😭 His story is breaking our hearts! He is being euthanized because the shelter is full 😭😭😭

A few years ago we impounded him for running loose. The owner came and reclaimed him. Well we got a call about a dog at a house that some people were trying to work on. We get there and it’s this boy. Abandoned by his owners, thrown outside, underweight, and hungry. But still doing his “job” of protecting the house and family. Of course he was fine once we got him. Super easy going and quiet boy. Pretty sad story and really crappy of the owners.

I have a Chow/Golden Retriever mix named Autumn to surrender
to someone that would accept her. We rescued here from the
Dekalb Animal Services. I can't remember the exact date but
about 6 or 7 years ago. My wife has become allergic to her and
we need to find her a new home. Her name is Autumn, she is
spayed but not up to date on her vaccines.

This is a Courthey Post. This is not a Chap's Chow. My name is Sydney Ojemuyiwa, and I live in Powder Springs, Georgia. I have a Chow Chow named Simba that I got as my 16th birthday present. I’ve had him for 2 incredible years (I’m 18 now) and he is the sweetest dog ever and I’d say he’s more like a Labrador than a Chow. He gets excited every time he sees me or someone in my family. He loves to play and get his belly rubs. True to his Chow nature though he is laid back and loves to sleep more than he plays. He’s good around people so long as they’re introduced properly but he likes women more so than men (he’s very cautious/ aloof around men). There was an incident that happened a few weeks ago that involved him and my 4 year old niece. Simba was asleep and despite the many warnings we gave her to not get in a dog’s face, she ran around him and got in his face. He woke up startled and ended up biting her in her face. We ended up having to take her to the hospital where she had to get stitches in two places (two stitches under her eye and four stitches to sew her lip back shut). Needless to say, we are all severely traumatized by this incident especially my little niece. Because we had to take her to the hospital, animal control was alerted and came to my house to talk to my mom and I about our future plans for Simba. My sister isn’t comfortable with Simba being around her or any of her children because of this incident. My nieces come over often and we’ve tried to separate them but it’s not working. Right now I don’t have any choice but to give him up to animal control, re-home him, or euthanize him. There is no one who can take him and I really don’t want to have to put him down. I know that if he goes to animal control they will have to kill him because that type of environment will make him aggressive due to anxiety. I’ve been searching for a place that can take him that doesn’t discriminate against Chows and I came across your website. I really need help. I don’t want to kill my dog because he woke up scared and did the first thing that came to mind. This whole situation is just so unfortunate and I feel like I failed my dog. I have a limited amount of time left to decide my dog’s future. If you are able to help or know anymore Chow rescues that are able to help me please kindly email me or text/ call me or my mom. Any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated as we are in dire straits.
