Happy 16th birthday to this beautiful girl, Lilli! She's been a part of my family for 4 years now! And this was my first morning back home from California. I was attempting to sleep in, but she let me know (early 😬) that it was time for breakfast! 😻

Successfully made it to LAX airport this am, and waiting at my gate for the flight to Dulles. With all the nasty traffic and stress of that, my only casualty was that I tripped over my feet and pant legs taking my suitcase out of the rental car, and tumbled onto the concrete parking lot...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️...nothing that a little sleep and Arnica gel won't cure! I'm SO GRATEFUL for where I live, and although I had a great trip, I'm ready to be back in Virginia! Also grateful for my friends that I shared the airbnb with the past several days! 🤗

I'm still in California after visiting my daughters and grandsons, and today I completed a 3 day Advanced Medical Intuition class at my teacher's house in Santa Clarita! I'm trying to improve my skills to better help everyone with their animals when I do Communication sessions with them. The power of working with energy is mind boggling!

I'm whooped... It was a two gig day, but they were both wonderful gigs and a lot of fun. I played pipes at McDonough Toyota for a celebration of life event ( I played about 50 mins and roamed around while everyone socialized and ate) and then drove up to Wi******er ( 1 1/2 hour drive) to play with Just Jazzin' for the Virginia Honor Flight, which is the group that takes Veterans up to the various War Memorials in DC, with individual escorts for each veteran, and then brings them back for a nice dinner, while we provide the musical entertainment. Thank goodness I can rest tomorrow, pack, and get ready for my trip to California on Monday...It's all good, but I have to figure out a way to slow the schedule down a bit...Although I still feel like the Energizer Bunny in my mind, sometimes my body tells me otherwise...😲

I love the Memorial Day services I've been privileged to perform at for the past several years. Yesterday was for the Confederate Memorial Service at Thornrose Cemetery, and today was the Staunton Memorial Day Service. It's an honor to play for and remember the soldiers who gave their lives for this country. I don't take my freedom lightly. It was paid for with a cost. May you pause for a moment in your day to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice -and please pass it along to your children and grandchildren.

I've had a great weekend so far scrapbooking for 4 days down near Richmond! There was virtually no internet connection where we were staying, and it's always an eye opener to see how much I rely on my phone for so many things...😬 These pictures are part of my work station. We have a pink flamingo theme! And I completed all 4 of the projects I brought with me!

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you felt really great physically, like you were able to leap building's in a single bound? I'm in the middle of one, and am so grateful! I've also played excessive amounts of pickleball (I can't seem to stop! 😄) but then finding that I totally collapse in the afternoon... that didn't use to happen. Once upon a time, I could go to multiple more activities in the day without a break. It's difficult to reach this stage of life 😫 but I'm so grateful for my health, and the multiple things I can still do!

I have been a recluse today. The temps were freezing, and a bit of snowfall. Rehearsal canceled tonight. So I made good use of my time and have been going full speed ahead on my Memoirs book that I'm writing! This is a long process but I've signed with a publishing company, a co- publishing type of deal, and I'm so excited! That's giving me the impetus to keep on writing...and I got this cute teddy bear, too. It might be the first stuffy I've ever bought myself, just to have a teddy bear! Sometimes the cats don't particularly want to be on my lap, and would rather just sit next to me.
