Hey guys this page and website will be changing in terms of content offered...

The Outside Agent will still primarily focus on discussions and content relating to science - merging both nature and tech together at times 🌱🧪

For the foreseeable future withdrawal of the store will happen, this will be focused elsewhere with any taxidermy work redirected to other reliable taxidermists... 🐾

In terms of future content I will be streaming scientific based content on Twitch from next month alongside general chat/ games from time to time... The website will host informative blog posts and allow for additional materials to be downloaded for the planned science streams🔬

Several weeks ago, construction workers digging near a Denver, Colorado, retirement home made a startling discovery: dinosaur bones. Now, they say it was an adult triceratops buried in the bedrock -- and the fossils were 68 million years old.

Thanks to the new followers in the past week for supporting us, it's great to see more like-minded people who share similar values! 😁

I would love to say the new stock has been uploaded but thanks to a messy broadband change over I'm now without decent internet until next week. Pretty much the least ideal thing to happen when everything is done online 😭

Ever stumbled across Diaphonized specimens... Did you know the methods date back to the late 19th Century? Perhaps the question why would anybody want to transform an animal into such an odd looking display, or how it happens, have crossed your mind 🧐☠️

Well... The first post in my Diaphonization series is available now & is a great introduction on exactly those topics. It's a good read with a nice cuppa if you're a bit of science geek like myself who loves biology & chemistry ☕️🙂

By the hands of super creative mystery illustrator from Japan, comes the world like no other. On social media, the artist is known as Ariduka55 and it seems artist loves cats the most. There are a lot of other cuddly animals like pandas, rabbits, raccoons, and dogs and they are all giant creatures!

We're in the middle of having a big clear out so the freezers have been well & truly rummaged through, we're overflowing with the species described in the pics below if anyone would like any of these species mounted or processed in the other ways mentioned

This vintage sheep mount is available. Bought at auction described as a Mouflon ewe however I had some suspicions due to the horns & general physical appearance. Shes been dusted down, cleaned up & after some research I feel it may be a breed such as the Soay sheep, or a similar breed/hybrid. It seems she also has a horn that had been growing into the side of her face 🐏🐑

Gave myself a day off to tidy the house & explore the local river a bit more. I also found King Alfred cake/cramp balls the other week, as they can attract a specific species of weevil I wanted to go back to that spot however the river wasn't letting me past with the rain & lack of thigh high waders.

Also nearly carelessly knocked what I thought was a vaccant hive trying to scramble over rocks, safe to say I changed my tune as I spotted some returning residents 😂 Need to clarify on the termite mounds but apparently they're a rare species with a couple of fields dedicated to them locally 🤓

I should may be write an article on some of the native species round here :)

Also known as 'blue-eyed Mary', this plant is native to Europe & is well distributed around Finlad. Omphalodes verna is often used as an ornamental plant in homes.🌿🙂

An adorable little Stripped Grass Mouse, Lemniscomys barbarus, perfect for the natural historian or taxidermy enthusiast who has limited space. 🐁

L.barbarus, are native to the continent of Africa, where they eat a mainly plant-based diet substituted with insects. They may be sold as pets & advertised as an exotic mouse species, or you may hear them referred to as zebra mice. 🐾🌿

The mouse, along with another, was captive bred & ended up housed at a local animal charity before eventually passing away from natural causes. The animal sanctuary where it had been very much loved & cared for then donated him to us.

Skunk just out the pickle & onto the tanning stage. Some slipping on the tail due to it not being properly frozen at first but hoping it's nothing serious! We have another one as well... both natural deaths after living out the rest of their days at an Animal sanctuary :)
