Long-time HRU friend and companion Silver has been adopted on trial! 💞 She is in the same home as Melt With You and the two were very happy to see each other again. 🫶

We decided it was in the best interest for Silver to try a local home when they were seeking a mini companion, as we had contemplated adding Silver to the rescue due to her owner’s financial limitations.

Thank you Leslie and Gregg for welcoming Silver into your family! She already rules the roost, enjoying her other mini and even donkey friends. 💜

13 years ago, Silver Gem went from the horse on the left (skinny stallion chained in a backyard) to the gelding on the right with mom Tess. Gem is now retired and they are still together today. 🥰

Our boy is neutered, got his first vaccine done (rabies), nails done and heartworm free, so once he comes by me he will start heartworm preventative.

Sadly he does have stage 3 dental disease, so will talk to our vet to schedule surgery for dental cleaning and hear the cost.

He is 67 pounds.

He is now on his way to his short term foster home and once the neck pillow comes off he can come to us- I will be his foster home (if he gets along with my dogs) until an adoptive home comes along.
