Feisty little Athena and her ears 😂

Athena was the lightest puppy and her mum is still having the same problem now, she eats like a horse and even finishes her sister food but she still stays a bit more slim than her family would like so she’s off to the vets for a check up! It was discovered at her last visit that she has a heart murmur so keep her in your thoughts 🤗 I’m sure she will be just fine and just has a great metabolism that we all wished we have 😉

Stratford YOU are amazing and this is a thankyou to all of you as without you we couldn’t have done this!

Not too long ago 5 skinny sickly hungry pit bull cross puppies came across my news feed (shared by a friend) I decided to go get them with no real plan, I just didn’t want them to go to the wrong homes or worse still be dumped

I’m a bit good at doing stuff without a plan 😝 and I almost fainted when I realised the cost of their medical treatment and food, the only thing I still had was a puppy crate 😂

I asked the Stratford community if they could help please and the help came flowing! I haven’t had a dining table since getting these puppies as it’s been covered in their stuff! Everything was covered by YOU! Absolutely everything a puppy needs including vet care and also what a puppy deserves ❤️

The fab 5 have thrived , some quicker than others but all are a picture of health and have now been adopted by wonderful families that we hand picked, there was a lot of interest and let’s say a few were just not quite suitable 😉 but I assure you all are in good loving homes and they will all be desexed so they don’t continue the cycle, they also get their next shots and microchips next week.

Now as for me 😃 my house seems a little more empty but by no means is it ever quiet, I will not be taking on future rescue puppies as to be honest there’s been a lot of tears over the past few weeks as ive seen things that have embedded in my mind and my heart just can’t handle the suffering 🥰 I have always supported animal rescues and will continue to donate where I can, a couple of favourites are

Athena! Athena’s new name is ATHENA she also kept her name 🥰

Athena’s new mum Vanessa was super excited to pick her up so she was settled for when her other two humans get home from school and work

Athena you were our sickest wee girl, at one stage we weren’t sure you would bounce back but you sure have! You are sassy and feisty and so so smart! Actually the smartest puppy I’ve ever met 🤯

Go well Athena and I’m excited to see if that other ear stands up 😝 you funny girl

Athena also left with an amazing puppy pack thanks to the Stratford community
