Cookie was my foster fail and my first introduction to this wonderful rescue.
We took her in as a foster a year ago and couldn't let her go. Although she never was officially offered for adoption, I thought she deserved a spot on the happy endings page.

We continue to foster and have fostered 6 (not including Cookie) unwanted dogs so far this year and seen them go to loving homes.
It's been an incredibly rewarding experience. These dogs teach us so much about compassion and love ❤️
Please consider fostering, we need more fosters so we can help more dogs find their happy ending. ❤️

Looking for Foster homes for Local Mass based dogs. All Dog Rescue, a 501c3 established in 2003, is searching for foster homes - we need your help to provide foster care for local dogs who have no other place to go. The black dog shown is 4 months, is a stray from Cambridge and needs out by tomorrow. He is currently in a holding facility. We do not import dogs. Our dogs come for local shelters, animal control officers and owners who need to rehome dogs. Foster homes provide a lifeline to dogs who are out of options. We provide medical and supplies, you provide a safe home. Fostering dogs saves lives, and you can help. #Adoptable Bowie is a special boy is looking for his perfect forever home! Bowie is just over 1-year-old and weighs approximately 55lbs. He is 50% Husky, 40% Poodle, 10% lab and 100% total energy! He is best thought of as a goofy and playful puppy. They call him ‘the missile’ at the park as he rockets into the park with excitement. Bowie would do best in a home with a confident resident dog who can help them become the best they can be. Bowie thrives being with other dogs and is his playful, goofy self in canine company. He loves to wrestle in the yard, play chase with the other dogs, and play keep-away with his favorite stuffed toys. A perfect day for him involves playing in the dog park, going on walks, and playing in the back yard. Bowie gets very excited when he sees his leash because he enjoys his walks so much. He can get a little too excited when he sees other dogs or critters but his special harness helps with that. Bowie also settles down and curls up on the sofa with his foster mom. He is house-trained, does very well in the car, and looks forward to every meal. Bowie needs an adult-only, dog savvy, home with a confident, playful dog of similar size and activity level. He can be too much for senior dogs. He also will need a fenced-in backyard as he has a ton of energy to burn. We are working on him being left alone, in the company of other dogs. He will need someone who is often home or willing to take him to doggie daycare until he can be left alone for a longer time period. Bowie is microchipped, neutered, on flea/tick/heartworm preventive, and up to date on his shots. Meet Tobias! This adoptable 7 year old German Shepherd-Lab mix is great with all people (even kids) and is eager to please but he does need to be an only dog.
