WE ADOPTED A ZEN BUNNY!

This little fellow ('Zen Bunny') is a much loved rabbit who's owner is making preparations to travel overseas.

We are thrilled to have him join our family.

HOW OLD? 🐇🐇

I saw the below table on another rabbit page. I'm not sure how accurate the information is - I'll have to check with my vet. But it is interesting to think about how old a rabbit might be in human years.

Almost all of our past rabbits have lived to be at least 8 years of age.

MIGHT BE OK FOR RABBITS?!

I just purchased and assembled this Bunnings Chook House for my Fantail Pigeons.

I'm thinking I might get another one for my Rabbits. I'm looking forward to letting them out in the sun more frequently now that Spring is here :)

CONGRATULATIONS PEARL:

Our Smoke Pearl Martin ("Pearl") has just had a litter of beautiful healthy Netherland Dwarf Rabbits. They are pure Netherland (not a cross) and will be an excellent example of the breed. It looks like we might have two whites, a black and a grey.

BLUE EYED WHITES!

Now that the flooding situation has calmed down a little and roads are reopen, we were finally able to make the trip to Singleton to meet a lady who was advertising Blue Eyed White Netherland Dwarf Rabbits for sale on Gumtree. Blue Eyed Whites are not as common as "Red Eyed Whites" - so to see her advertisement caused a lot of excitement.

We ended up bringing two 10 week old bunny siblings home with us. The Lady's Daughter had named them Snow White and Snow Flake but we have permission to change their names if we wish. Name suggestions are welcome.

PLEASE CHOOSE WISLEY BEFORE GETTING A FURRY FRIEND:

A friend of mine made a good call today :) He let me adopt the pet Rabbit that he had bought for his son. His son is very young and both he and his partner have found themselves working long hours and not having the time to give their furry friend the attention she needs.

Rather than leaving the rabbit to be a prisoner in their backyard, she has a new home on our back patio and has already made friends with my (desexed) Netherland Dwarf Buck Hoppity.

RABBIT TIPS:

Sadly, some people purchase rabbits and put them in a cage or hutch in the backyard and fail to give them stimulation. Our rabbits are given plenty of interaction and attention! I have recently given our buck, Carl some toys too......

Rabbit toys are very inexpensive. Pulling apart the phone book or pushing toilet rolls around can be good fun if your a rabbit!?
