🏥Puppies, puppies, puppies everywhere! Can you count them? 🐶🐾 These babies NEED our HELP!! They are only 7 weeks old and range in weight from 2.4 to 4.1 pounds. Sadly they didn't have a good life so far and have Sarcoptic mange. Most adopters aren't willing to treat a puppies, but we know we have some AMAZING fosters and RESCUES who are willing to give them lots of💞LOVE, 🧼medicated 🛁baths, medication and 🕰TIME to look beautiful and handsome again! How many of YOU would like to be the😇😇 angels we need to cover this many puppies. Fostering in groups is preferred so the puppies are socialized and comforted. ⭐️HAPPY NEWS UPDATE ⭐️Remember Geneva? The toothless 9-year old senior that ended up at the Harris County Animal Shelter. She pulled on ALL of our heart strings. She got a rescue hold quickly dropped. Crestfallen, we all went to bat even harder.

We learned that the shelter had branded Geneva an “aggressive dog” not because of anything Geneva did at the shelter, but because of a remark made when the man surrendered her.

It’s sad, but people lie to make themselves look better when surrendering an animal. It happens everyday, and it almost cost Geneva her life!

One of the reasons I started Pet Pleas was not only to raise awareness for animal causes, share cute animal news, but also express appreciation for rescues and volunteers that go above and beyond!

Holly’s Hope did just that! They tagged her, and with a hero foster Shannon, Geneva finally has the life she deserves. As you can see from the pics, she is so “aggressive” that she kisses Shannon’s face and walks on a leash WITH a baby puppy!

Thank you Holly’s Hope for taking a chance on Geneva! Thank you Shannon for fighting for her! Thank you to the Connecticut angels that shared her and donated generously to her care and an Austin angel that emailed nearly every single rescue! And a Canadian angel that posted her to every group.

Thank you to Day of the Dogs and Saving Houston’s Pets for making videos of Geneva and getting the word out!

It truly takes a village in the rescue world! People all over the country and all over the world fought for Geneva, but without foster mom Shannon and Holly’s Hope stepping up to tag her for rescue, she would have become just another statistic.

This is Carolina. ❤️ She was found as a stray in zip code 77396 and kept long enough to be considered an owner surrender when she was brought to the shelter on 1/18. ☹ She is 1 year 4 months old, 🐶 weighs 44 pounds and is heartworm ❤️ negative. She is very sweet and friendly with humans and dogs and she’s kenneled with other dogs. 🐕 Carolina has been at the shelter too long and needs a foster and a rescue by 10 am. 😭 Can you open your heart and home to her for a little while until she finds her forever family? 🙏

In honor of World Spay Day, throughout the month of February Prevent Unwanted Pets will be offering free spay/neuter surgery for Pitbull and Pitbull mix dogs in Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Lavaca, Waller, Washington and Wharton counties. Statistics show Pitbull and Pitbull mix dogs are the number one dog being bred in America and account for the majority of shelter intakes nationally. They often have a long road to adoption and are being euthanized in shelters at shocking rates.

😿You see, I had a rough life. My teeth were either filed or chipped off to the point the shelter has me listed as having no teeth. 0️⃣ teeth! That is kind of embarrassing to hear, but it is not the time to worry about my pride. Besides, I didn’t choose to be toothless. I would have had regular dental cleanings if I had my way.

☀️ I sure didn’t choose this hard life, but I still wag my tail. I will wag my tail until my last moment here on this earth 🌎, because I am hopeful that at any second my hero could appear and my life could change for the better!

🚨To be candid though, I’m worried about my life! I’m becoming urgent. I’ve heard the term “euth list.” I don’t know exactly what that means, but I know it is NOT my happily ever after I’ve been praying for.

🙏🏻Are you the answers to my prayers? I feel vulnerable in here like I might fall back into the wrong hands. Please say a prayer for me that only good people find me.

Many spots on the transport bus 🚌 up to Minnesota. Can you “pup sit” for two-weeks, so we can get our travel certificate (USDA requirement) to travel out of the state of Texas. Just two-weeks time can save an entire LIFE‼️

This February, Harris County Pets has the opportunity to send dogs to rescue partners in northern states. We have some wonderful dogs who are eager to meet their new families up north but they need temporary homes here in Houston until their departure date. Stacy needed a new name to reflect her new life. Her new name is Mazie. She still all smiles after everything she has endured. ❤️🐾🐶Thank you Athena’s Angels for rescuing this angel!

She got her hydrotherapy done in our tub at work yesterday 🤗 she’s always such a good girl, always such a happy look on her face regardless of what she’s been through💕 we are hoping Mazie will get the all clear from the doctors soon to go to her foster home!
