Oh wow … yesterday we had an amazing time at Calow Gala! It was a day full of fun, thriving community spirit and lots of lovely people!🥰
Thank you to everyone who came to see us (and our helper Milo🐶) and to those who purchased from our stall, it was so lovely to spend a day talking about people’s pets and their quirks!😆
We left the show feeling grateful and motivated to enquire about being a stall holder at other places so our next pop-up stall will be at Mansfield Market Place on Saturday 16th September!🎊

As you know, we like to keep you updated on all of our pets here at F&F! For months, I have been in contact with Bunnies & Piggies In Need Rescue UK to reserve this gorgeous little one, who I have named Albie, after seeing him on their rescue page🥰
I have been wanting to get Theo a friend for a very long time but some of you may already know, it is a very complicated process.
Those who have been following F&F for a long while would know that we adopted a Angora rabbit called Edith a few months ago. Unfortunately due to a lack of honesty from her previous owner, the bond did not work out and sadly Edith had to be rehomed again to be bonded with another rabbit. Thankfully, this bond worked out and Edith now lives happily there … yay!🥰
Bunnies & Piggies In Need Rescue UK have lovely fosters who bond your rabbits for you, therefore last Wednesday, I took Theo to Worcester to be bonded with Albie. Thankfully, the bonding was successful and so on Thursday, I bought them both home!🥰

Tired baby Teddy enjoying his hugeeee piece of cucumber on this very hot day!🥰 How are you keeping your little ones cool? Some helpful tips are below:
🧊 Be sure to feed your rodents something that is high in water content to keep them hydrated! Cucumber is a great example!
🧊 Move their cage away from sunlight and into a well ventilated area.
🧊 Provide your hamster eith something cool to sit on. You could provide them with a sand/soil area - this is enriching for then too! Or you could place a tile inside their cage, or a mug that has previously cooled in the fridge!
If you haven’t already … buy your rabbit some stacking cups! They’re actually made to be a children’s toy, enabling them to learn how to count, but they’re such a great enriching toy for rabbits too!🐰
I have so many videos of Theo throwing them around to get the treats that I put inside them. It was impossible to just choose one video to post, so I chose Theo’s dramatic Dinosaur impression!🤣
They can be purchased from Amazon for around £8, however I found a great steal in Poundland as they were £4!🥳
When I got to the till, the cashier said ‘Oh they look great, my son loves throwing them around!’ She looked very surprised when I explained they were indeed for my son, who has fur and floppy ears!😅x
