Can cats eat yogurt? 🐱

The answer is yes — some types of yogurts are safe for cats. But that doesn't mean it should become a regular part of their diets 😼🍴

For humans, yogurt is a strong source of friendly bacteria, or probiotics. However, our pets typically don't need those same bacteria unless dealing with GI problems 🧬

What types of yogurt are safe for cats?

If your cat doesn't have any sensitivities to dairy, most plain, unsweetened yogurts are safe for cats. Before giving your cat a nibble, however, you'll want to make sure there are no extra ingredients that could cause your kitty harm:
✔️ Xylitol
✔️ Grapes or raisins
✔️ Chocolate
✔️ Nuts
✔️ Citrus fruits (lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, etc.)
✔️ Coconut

How much yogurt can cats have? 

Given your cat doesn't react poorly to dairy, no more than one tablespoon of yogurt is a safe treat to share 🥄
As a general rule, treats shouldn't account for more than 10 percent of your cat's daily caloric intake 👌

Why do dogs dig❓

Tips on walking your dog in hot weather ☀️

Even though summer is coming to an end, you shouldn't forget to provide your pet staying comfortable and safe during a walk. 🐕‍🦺

Plan your walk times carefully and check the ground temperature before you go ✔️
Experts agree that it is generally safe to take your furriend for a walk in temperatures of up to 68F, while anything over 77F can be risky 🌡‼️

Go well equipped 🎒
If you are walking further than around the block, you should plan to take some provisions with you.
Be sure to pack a collapsible water bowl and a bottle of fresh, cool water so that you can offer your dog a drink at regular intervals 🧊🕐

Never let your dog drink from puddles, ponds, or the ocean as this could make them very sick.

Don’t leave your dog in the car 🚗 ❌
Ideally, you should be able to head out on a walk directly from your home, but if you have to drive somewhere first, make sure that you keep your dog cool while traveling ❄️

Try interactive toys. Invest in busy toys to give your dog when you have to leave him home alone. 🧸

Consider a dog daycare. Some lonely dogs might benefit from going to a well-run dog daycare a few times per week, although this option isn’t a fit for every dog.
