Looking for some tips because I've gotten a bunch of conflicting info. I have six 11-week old ladies who've all been together since day one, and my neighbor wants to give me two 1-year old hens. Apparently, she started with 8 but her dogs kept getting them. 😢
The only real set up we have for keeping the two new ones separated for a bit is the old chick brooder. It's OK for then to be there for like a day, but tonight they'll probably need to go into the coop with the others. Is that enough time for the separation? Or should we figure out some other sleeping arrangements for the grown ladies for a few nights? Here's a pic of the setup right now.
