Had a fun few days with the Hangaroa crew.

A wee snippet of myself riding young stallion Galaxy Pounamu and Hangaroa Latte (Ava’s daughter) . Lots of learning with Sam and lots of fun 🤩

Ticked off Hangaroa Ava’s first Horse Of the Year. She tried really hard in such a big atmosphere.

The title class day Ava just wasn’t quite feeling herself so I opted to retire and save her for another day.

Coming into one of the best weeks of the year I wanted to share a few pictures from past Horse Of The Year Shows 🤩

🦄Skibbereen Kentucky - Also known as Louie , hands down one of the most versatile ponies there was . His HOY track record was pretty darn cool 😎 I don’t think many ponies could turn their hoof to anything like this guy could , forever grateful for this pony and all that he taught me 🤩💗

- 6th Working Hunter Pony of the year
- 4th Rising Star Saddle Hunter Pony of the year
- 7th 1.25cm Championship
- 3rd Taranaki PC SJ Team
- Runner Up Level 2 Dressage Pony of the year
- Jumped in Pony of the Year as his and my 3rd ever Pony Grand Prix 🤣 safe to say I am sure the jumps were bigger than him , and I almost cried going into the ring as I was that nervous… 2nd to go and the rider before me fell off at the 2nd jump 🤣

- Runner up Level 1 Dressage Pony of The year

🦄Dante - One of my heart horses , Dante carried me around the Pony Club Show Jumping teams rounds for 5th 💪

🦄 Telly - 5year old Telly (one of the first babies I have produced from a 2year old ) this was the last HOY we have been to , which was in 2020 .
- 4th in the Ridden Heavyweight Pinto Horse Of The Year
- 3rd in the Heavy Weight In Hand Pinto Horse Of The Year
Can’t wait to see him out there next year in the show hunter ring 💗

Really looking forward to a change of discipline this year at HOY jumping around the Show Hunter ring on Hangaroa Ava for her first Horse Of The Year 😍💪

A little late on the updates so have done two shows in the one update!

Wairarapa SJ & SH Championships on Monday , Ava tried really hard and really started to find her feet in the ring . Super proud of how she performed and improved each round she did .

Wairarapa A & P Show on Friday , Ava produced 4 beautiful rounds , I couldn’t have asked much more of her. Despite the rider being a tad sore from a non horse mishap during the week she carted me around beautifully. She really enjoyed the courses and the ground conditions and jumped super, she gave it 110% every round . Super proud of this superstar mare ✨💫

🧸 Hangaroa Ava 🧸

What an awesome start to the season for Ava, we decided to enter her in the Show Hunter classes at central districts show in foxton , after only having her back for 4 days. The first two rounds were a tad rusty but once we got back into the swing of things Ava produced some beautiful rounds.

🥈2nd in the Equitation
🥇1st in the 105cm Championship to win a cap and a rug 🤩

This made the 3.30am start worth it 🤨🤩
