Merry Christmas to all my lovely clients. Thank you for your custom this year. Have a good day 🎄🎅❄️🎁
Awe Benji, all lovely and clean again after being covered in mud this morning. You were a little out of sorts today but came running back for cuddles after your groom. A lovely little fella. See you in the new year x
Here is Holly looking delightful after her groom today. She smells gorgeous. See you in the new year little lady xx
Three lovely dogs in for a pampers and haircuts today. Let’s get the Christmas playlist on. Apologies now for the bad singing guys! Haha
I’ve been grooming Maple for nearly two years now and she really loves a good pamper. She now jumps onto the table and sits there ready for her trim 😊 today we listened to some Prince & Michael Jackson, sorry for my really bad singing!
Willow, you beautiful girl. She loves her bath and loves head massages even more.
Another really lovely well behaved dog in for a trim this morning. See you in four weeks time.
Oh Benji you make me laugh, so full of beans but so good on the grooming table even though you like to lay down for you back being clipped. A nice short clip for this little man today, how handsome is he? It won’t be long until I see you again 😊
The gorgeous and very lovely lady Holly had a trim today. She must be a few kilos lighter now all that long hair has gone. See you again soon
Also it’s great to have a camera on my phone that works again 👍🏻
New Logo now live :)
New bathtub 😊
My little friends can walk up the ramp stress free (it saves my back a little too)
Maple had a welfare groom today and was the first to use the bathtub. She is now neat, tidy and comfortable. 💛
Update coming today
Hope all my clients are all ok 👌🏻
Important news in post below- please read
Happy New Year to you all, I hope you found some joy throughout the festive period even if this year was different from past years. I have some news to share regarding the current lockdown.
I have made the decision to shut down in January which means cancelling all January appointments. I think this is the most sensible decision in the current climate as Covid infection rates are high in our local areas. I will review this early February and will take it from there.
My main priority is to work safely and sensibly, keeping everyone as safe as possible. Most of my clients’ dogs had Christmas grooms and should be ok for another month or so. There’s a few of you who I didn’t manage to get to, apologies for this -you’ll be booked in straight away when I do reopen.
Take care, say hello to your dogs from me, keep yourself safe and I’ll see you all when it’s safer to carry on home dog grooming.
Zoe xx
Merry Christmas to all my lovely clients and their gorgeous dogs. Thank you for your support this year x
Oh Missy 🥰 She is such a darling and a good girl on the grooming table. The little wiggle she does when she’s been groomed is very sweet.
I have been waiting for information from many sources on the rules regarding pet grooming during lockdown.
Dog grooming can still go ahead for welfare purposes only and not aesthetics. As the initial lockdown is for only 4 weeks and most of my clients have had a recent groom I think we will be ok waiting, however that said, if you feel your dog needs a groom during this 4 week lockdown period for welfare reasons then please get in contact with me. Some of the reasons to get your dog groomed during the lockdown are-
1. Matted coat
2. Overgrown/problematic nails
3. Hair on face becoming matted, especially around the eyes/mouth
I can still work in your home and will continue to work Covid safe as discussed with each client earlier in the year.
Thank you for being patient with me and if you have any questions please get in touch.

Update regarding pet grooming...
Bentley is a happy, handsome fella. It won’t be long until I go and pamper him and his brother again.
Thank you to those of you who have booked in your Christmas grooms. The Winter Walk Christmas fragrance has been the most popular so far.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

🍂 🍂 🍂 Top tips for keeping your beautiful dogs safe this autumn 🍂 🍂 🍂
🎃 Halloween & Bonfire nights are fun events for most of us but our pets can really feel anxious during these times- have a look online to find ways to keep your dogs calm and happy this autumn.
🐕 Walking your dogs after the 9-5 now means walking them in the dark- make sure you have something which is hi-visibility on your dog, whether it’s a collar attachment, coat or lead. There’s many options at your local pet shop or check online if you prefer to shop that way.
🍄 When you are out on walks in the great outdoors keep your dogs close as there are many mushrooms that are poisonous and will cause your dog harm.
🍫 Remember to keep chocolate, nuts and raisins away from dogs. Don’t leave snacks unattended as your dog will sniff them out and overindulge in a treat that will make them very poorly and result in a vets bill you probably didn’t need!
🌷 Conkers and Tulips & Daffodil bulbs are all poisonous to dogs and some can be hazardous if eaten. Keep an eye on your dog when out on walks and be aware where the horse chestnut trees are.
Keep safe & Happy Autumn

Hello everyone,
I know this isn't dog related but it is a little project I came up with to help young people in Pendle who are homeless this winter and at Christmas.
Please help if you can either by donating odd socks and handy essentials or by spreading the word about the Odd Sock Project online :)
Thanks
Zx
Happy news alert!!!
We are proud to share with you all that our chosen charity partner this Christmas is SafeSpace Pendle.
All your kind donations of odd socks and essential items will be taken to Safespace Pendle a couple of weeks before Christmas.
If you haven’t done so already find an odd sock, fill it with essential items and some Xmas treats and donate it to our project. All information on how you can help is on our page.
Go on, do something lovely today that will benefit a young person in need this Christmas.
Thanks

This little rockstar had his nails clipped the other day. Such a lovely dog 😊
I’m now taking November and December Christmas groom bookings. Get in touch now to book as I’m already at half capacity 👍🏻
It will soon be Daisy’s turn for a groom again. She is such a beautiful dog 🐕
I can’t help but have a play with her in the field when I am up at Animal Magic Family in Oakworth. If you or someone you know needs somewhere to take their dogs either because your working long hours, working away or going on holiday then contact Victoria to find out how your dog can become part of the Animal Magic Family.
They have arrived 😊 which one will you opt for this winter?
So far ‘Winter Walks’ seems to be the favourite seasonal scent amongst my clients but I must say the ‘Warm Mince Pie’ one is my favourite.
This here is the adorable Willow. During her stay up at Animal Magic Family in Oakworth she was booked in for a full groom which went very smoothly because Willow is a pro! She was well entertained by the other dogs outside playing in the field. It wasn’t long before she was back out in the fresh air running about in the field with her friends.
Willow it was a pleasure to pamper you, see you again soon.

Maple was extra gorgeous during her grooming session this week and actually jumped into the bath herself. She still has her moments around her feet being touched but on the whole has made huge progress. Please note this is a before photo 👍🏻
Hello Zoe, I’m ready for my haircut 😊
Missy makes my heart burst 🥰
Everyone this delightful little fella is Louis.
This morning he had his first ever home groom with Scissor & Shape and was a superstar from start to finish. Louis isn’t keen on his feet and legs being groomed (which dogs are?) but we managed. He can now strut his stuff on his walks with that fantastic styled tail of his waving around behind him.
I’ll see you in 8 weeks little man 😊
Happy Bank Holiday Monday 😊
Last week I spent sometime playing with loads of beautiful dogs at Animal Magic Family in Keighley. I had a great time and so did Ronnie the Border Terrier, he wouldn’t leave me alone and just wanted more belly rubs 🥰
Have a good day everyone

Happy National Dog’s Day to all my clients and their dogs.
Here are Bentleys transformation photos from his home groom yesterday.
What a transformation! X
Double Doggie groom for these two gorgeous little ladies. On the left is Missy and on the left is Sooty.
Missy is used to being groomed, is older and wiser and just stares at you with those big beautiful eyes when your pampering her 🥰
Until next time... x
Sooty experienced her third puppy groom and was an absolute pro 👏🏻 and no that tongue didn’t ever go away 😂
🥰🥰🥰
Introducing Joey who had his first ever puppy groom this morning.
Joey is a German Shepherd cross and did a smashing job today. The whole experience was new to him and he was in play mode throughout. It took him a while to get used to the dryer but with constant reassurance he settled down.
Once groomed he was free to go and play with all the other dogs at
Joey gets a gold star 🌟 for his first ever puppy groom, what a handsome dog
Shadow was very cute during her puppy groom and actually stayed still long enough for us to get a photo of her.
This was her third puppy groom and she has made lots of progress. The noise of the clippers and scissors didn’t bother her and she tolerated the comb running down her legs this time. We even cleared the excess hair at the corners of her eyes and managed to shape her face a little bit.
Carry on being super cute and I’ll see you in 4 weeks time.
Here is the beautiful Daisy just about to get a haircut by Scissor & Shape Dog Grooming up at in Oakworth near Keighley.
I often groom dogs that are spending the day at the Doggy Day Play or who are on holiday at Doggy Stay Over.
If you are looking for a place where your dog can stay over whilst you are on a holiday/short break or if you need them to be looked after for the day when your at work, then I would strongly recommend that you give Victoria at Animal Magic Family a call to discuss what services she can offer you and your dog. You will find her details on Facebook & Instagram.
Have a lovely day
Zoe
Pixie is such a sweet soul, and was an absolute joy to pamper and groom at her home. Just look at that pose for the camera after her hair cut. I’ll see you in 7 weeks Pixie & Co.
Creating neat and tidy lines for a stunning silhouette.
Now taking September & October bookings
Get in contact to discuss your dogs first home groom with Scissor & Shape Dog Grooming.
Today’s little cutie looking so proud of herself for getting used to having the scissors and clippers near her face and head. This is the first groom Coco has had where I’ve been able to get her face into some sort of shape without her getting too stressed out. Well done Coco pop.
Sometimes the dogs need a little support throughout their groom.
For me, ensuring the dogs I groom are comfortable and happy is my main priority. If those feet aren’t 100% perfect due to the dog absolutely hating them being done, resulting in them moving around and kicking out, then I am ok with that. We will get there with time and perseverance.
Have a good day everyone
