We are deeply disturbed following the video that was posted regarding the treatment of some of the dogs at our shelter. Alverado Greenbriar Humane Society does not stand for the mistreatment of animals in any capacity. Since the video surfaced, we have let the employee in question go and have started heavy training for all current employees on how to treat our animals with the most love and patience possible. This training will also be required for all future employees. We hope with this training, an incident like this will never happen again at our organization. Thank you for bringing this pressing issue to our attention and for holding us accountable for our faults.

This holiday season, humans aren't the only ones who want a feast. AGHS is asking our community to come together and participate in our pet food drive! We are asking for canned and dry food. Blankets and beds are also always needed. The drive starts now and lasts until December 24th, 2022. We thank our community for standing with us and helping out!
