Hi Guys 👋

Thought I'd write a little intro..

I have been in the industry for over 20 years.. I have had an incredible journey within the equestrian space and have been extremely fortunate to work, ride, compete and learn from some of the best riders and professionals in the industry!
I have an extremely positive, non-judgemental approach to coaching, I focus on a balanced rider first and foremost.
My way of teaching is methodical, strategised and I pay close attention to aid accuracy, the quality of each gait and rider understanding - so don’t be surprised if I fire off some questions midsession.. I’ve even been known to ask for a running commentary 😁!
Foundation setting is key to your riding success, once set, my riders fly with me! I coach all ages and abilities – From general schooling, dressage, BSJA, showing, to happy hackers and those whom just want to learn the basics of control and gain confidence (which generally turns into more 🙌 ). I’m very passionate about coaching and taking people where they, maybe, don’t have the confidence or belief to take themselves.
I work very hard on ensuring your horse is supple, relaxed and happy which all filters down into willingness! This helps! After owning my own Saddlery and offering a saddle fitting service, I have spent a lot of time working with professionals in the Biomechanical field, including Fairfax, Stubben and the mechanical horse. So, naturally I integrate this into my coaching.
I’m fairy flexible during the week and have a large amount of weekend slots available. I have recently moved to Taunton, so ideally would be located within a 25-30 mile radius.

Alice Darby Veterinary Physiotherapy
I was fortunate enough to meet Alice last summer when I first moved to Somerset. I got in touch with Alice to come and treat a few of my clients horses which were in need of a 'general service' and treatment. I attended a couple of her sessions and I couldn't recommend her enough. She is knowledgeable, thorough, honest, has a very gentle, laid back approach and explained the treatment to my client from start to finish which is what I LOVE! She leaves you with understanding and a bit of homework so to keep your four legged friends happy! Fabulous ethos and lovely lady :)

Transformation of the year! 😍
This has been a long, arduous journey but we have conquered it! Thoroughbreds can be very tricky when it comes to weight maintenance and nutrition and this beautiful boy was no exception! I worked very closely with his owner to nail his nutrition and rehabilitation when she took him on... Needless to say.. We did it! He is now a very happy horsey and their progress as a team is phenomenal! He is bio-mechanically sound and currently pushing on through his new training regime. Very special boy! 🤩😍
