Update: Charlotte is not pregnant. We were not planning a litter for this heat, but we had an unexpected tie. We just got home from the vet though, and it was a negative. So any exciting news will have to wait for the spring.

We have unfortunately decided to rehome June (Didi). We realized just how busy our schedule is and don’t believe it is fair to June to not be able to give her what she needs as a puppy. We are reaching out to you first to check if you know of anyone looking for a puppy. It breaks all of our hearts but we want her to be happy.

This being our first litter, I was not sure what to expect. I had done hours of research preparing to be the best breeder I could be, but nothing could have prepared me for the experience of watching our sweet Charlotte give birth to the 12 beautiful puppies we have in our puppy nursery right now.
To be honest, I feel really honored that she trusted me to be a part of her delivery. As the hours passed and she became more tired, she was able to communicate her needs to me in such a unifying and bonding way that I really treasure. The days after her delivery were much the same. For the first few weeks mama dogs are very protective of their babies, but she let me and my family in to her beautiful world of new motherhood. She delighted in sharing those first moments with us and fretted over everything being just so. I saw many of my own new mom experiences in her. Maybe I am projecting, but it was beautiful and sacred none the less. I really hope you enjoy following our journey. Yes, that is attached, Bastian. Charlotte can not wrap her head around why he would be behaving so. She is too sophisticated for such activities...Bastian, not so much. 😄
Throw back to when Charlotte found out she was faster and more agile than Bastian. Poor Bastian, he never stood a chance after this.
