Good day everyone. lately due to the very hot weather we have been getting requests to shave or trim down alot of huskies. This is something we DO NOT advise doing. A husky has 2 layers to its coat, the under coat which is light and fluffy which helps with insulation to keep your husky warm. The second layer is made up of coarser guard hairs that help to keep your husky COOL and helps with temperature regulation. Shaving your husky does not help your husky keep cool. It actually makes it worse.

Meet the beautiful Bella. She was in need of some attention. Some parts of her fur were very matted. Her owners wanted to get her groomed before the situation got worse. We removed all the matted fur, gave her a bath, blow dried her, cleaned her ear and trimmed around her paw pads and ge***al area. We also brushed her and finished with a sprits of cologne.
