It also doesn’t help with behavioural issues and more often than not, can exacerbate them

Size does matter! Our large and XL breeds mature slower, for that reason neutering needs to be delayed or perhaps not happen at all depending on the dog, and they age quicker! So at 6/7 years old they will be at risk from the old age changes and diseases such as diabetes, Cushing's, kidney disease, heart disease, and arthritis.

Our tiny breeds mature quickly and age slowly. 6/7 years old for them is like me as a 40 year old, in the prime of my life of course! Expect these guys to start showing ageing signs from around 10/11 years or older.

So if I was a dog I would be a Great Dane cross with Chihuahua because I'd mature slower which means I wouldn't have to adult until much later in life. But I would live longer...! Actually I would be a spaniel, happy, full of energy, and a little bit silly with a mix of smart!

What dog would you be and why? (I think that question should be on a dating app!!)
