Love this and need more younger generations to step up like this. Our current rescue generations are aging out.

Meet a local hero of ours, and one very lucky puppy. Hailey is only 16 years old. But she has helped so many stray dogs find their way. This little puppy was rescued from a mentally unwell, homeless person who was choking her with a zip tie. Hailey stepped in, wouldn’t take no for an answer and removed the puppy from his care.
Now she is safe and loved. All she needs is a forever home to call her on. Kiva is a seven month old pit shepherd mix, who does well with other dogs and cats. Crazy urgent!! TX, Houston senior schnauzer with cataracts

This sweet senior boy just came into BARC in Houston, TX. Found as a stray, he has cataracts and needs a dental. This boy will be on the euth list within a matter of a few days. They don’t keep boys like him around long and have begun euthing on the weekends due to the volume of animals they take in.

Please read the below message and also view his pictures. It’s obvious he’s not been loved for quite a while.

This poor senior arrived at the shelter as a stray and was most likely dumped. He should be living his golden years with his people, but instead he is at risk of being added to the euth list due to his age. We would love to help him, but we need rescue backing. Please let us know if you can help him.

A1988231 came in as a stray today. He is a senior boy who has cataracts and will likely need a dental. This guy seems to be in pretty rough shape because he didn't even move when I opened his kennel. He would greatly benefit from finding a rescue where he can get more advanced medical care.

Message from Owner: This is my baby bubba. He got away from my husband and took off in the creek and escaped into the woods behind cooper park apartments! He’s a big boy but he’s so gentle and sweet! He has a Pacifico collar on. Please let me know if you see him!
