DNV is a small family run rescue shelter for street dogs and cats in Bosnia. They

collect animals from the streets, nurse them to health, arrange for neutering, feed and shelter the animals until they are adopted in the UK, US or Europe. DNV stands for Diana, Nela and Vera, after the founder Vera and her two daughters, Nela and Diana. This page has been set up by several people who have adopted dogs rescued by DNV to showcase some of the fantastic work they do and to help raise funds for their work.

Vera has some news about our brave beautiful boy ❤️ MARLEY ❤️
He’s been on a long trip to have a big CT scan in Belgrade and was such a good baby that he’s sleeping at Vera’s house tonight, bless him ❤️

“We just returned from Belgrade
Marley had a full body ct
the finding will be evident in the next few days
the recording cost 600 e+100 e fuel and tolls
We will cover the costs from the auction
(CT only of the head which we originally wanted to do cost 300 e, but according to Dr. Ivo's recommendation, after xrays, he also asked for a CT of the spine and lungs) so the clinic decided to do a complete CT with a discount, because we are an association
Marley was adorable and everyone fell in love with him
now we can hope to be able to help him when we have his true condition
thank you all for helping this wonderful guy
he sleeps with me tonight”

At only £10 including postage they can be that extra Christmas little gift and time to receive before Xmas 🎄
On the front is our beautiful TOM who waited with his brother Jerry 7 years in the DNV shelter to be adopted. They grew up with Vera and her family.

Well it’s been a long journey for her now with a lovely name of TULLY.

So much has happened since her adoption that her mom has written 3 little books about the journey of Tullys whilst she settled in. These paperbacks are in our shop on our website www.dnvsaveanimals.com

“Exactly 2 months ago we welcomed Polly, now Roxy, to our family.
2 cats in residence and a very inquisitive dog meant gentle introductions.
I said they'd be on the same sofa by Christmas but they managed it way before then..about 2 weeks ago.

The last week or so Roxy has really relaxed and is much better on walks. I have taken her to some obedience classes with other dogs and she's always better with us the day after those. Today she had a busy day so now relaxing...she's made herself at home.”

Just look how new 2year old stunning 🌻 SAFFRON 🌻 is settling in ❤️
She is still underweight and has anemia which is being treated.
Unfortunately, SAFFRON was discarded after giving birth to babies who are being sold for greed. So very sad for her to be put in such a terrible position physically and emotionally. Vera has her now and already she’s feeling safe and loved in the DNV shelter. Soon Saffron will be better and blossom to help this beautiful young girl find a special kind caring home 🙏❤️

A lovely short update video on our gorgeous senior 💙 ROMEO 💙 He was one of the longest pups in the DNV shelter. 8 years from a baby Romeo grew up there with Vera and her family. He’s happy now in his forever home ❤️. Thanks for the update mom Samantha Creighton 🙏 “Beautiful day so we decided to spend the day in the Garden. Romeo and the girls are getting more comfortable and closer. They never leave my side . Romeo is a dream a real life Teddy Bear. We love him and he has really taken to my Granddaughter who's 8.”

So who thought our darling DELLA was too big to get a home in the U.K.? We’ll just look at her happy arriving today in her own garden with a caring family. We are all so pleased for Della and wish her a wonderful life ❤️
