Dogma Danes & Pointers & Bulldogs Dogma Danes was founded in 2004. Pointers were added in 2014, and Bulldogs in 2021. GDCA, APC, & BCA.

Current memberships include the Great Dane Club of America, the American Pointer Club, the Bulldog Club of America, Piedmont North Carolina Bulldog Club, and the Durham Kennel Club (on the DKC Board of Directors).

Somehow this beautiful 13 week old Cupcake is still looking for a family to call her own!!! Photos of her here out today at Bass Pro Shop, meeting and greeting shoppers and enjoying seeing all the bird and animal mounts, fish, and more in the store. She explored, got lots of pets from adults and kids alike and had a good time, despite the rain outside. Shoot us a message to learn more about this special, birdy girl!

This lovely, heavily marked black and white Pointer girl “Cupcake” is looking for a family of her own for Christmas! Cupcake is 12 weeks old and from AKC conformation Champion parents (GCHS Ch Oakwood’s How Do You Like Me Now CGC X Ch Dogma Racecity Penzance We Give You The Moon). Both parents are OFA Health tested.

Cupcake is super sweet, cuddly, friendly, and loves playing with toys and other dogs. She showed interest in birds when she was introduced to them at 8 weeks old on a teaser pole. Very intelligent, she notices everything around her and picks up being on a schedule with ease. She is already acclimated to sleeping in a crate at night or when no one will be home. Her favorite evening pastime is snuggling on the couch to get unlimited pets!

Thursday was the second wild delivery day of babies- Pink collar liver girl and Olive collar black girl went to their new homes! Olive girl now lives on a beautiful horse farm in NC with her owner Amy and has two kids to call her own and a Jack Russell brother to play with. Pink girl is in FL with the most delightful couple Phyllis and Jon, whose daughter’s family lives down the street and has a Pointer buddy for her to play with! Both are loving exploring their new homes and properties, and settling in nicely. Made for a long day… but two wonderful families added to the Dogma family🥰

The mystery trip yesterday with purple girl ended with a final touchdown at LAX - she’s becoming a California girl! Thanks to some amazing, magical Christmas elf friends, the Lian family are getting mended hearts after loosing their sweet Pointer girl to cancer several months ago. I left at 3:30am and didn’t get back until 2am— but it couldn’t have been more worth it… Welcome to the Dogma family, Katie, Brandon, and Scarlett!❤️❤️❤️

It is with great melancholy that Dogma announces that we will no longer be showing or breeding Great Danes. After losing Ripley in late winter, we have no one else to show or breed. The plan now is to move forward, focusing on our Pointers and Bulldogs. Through the end of this year, I will be occasionally posting wonderful candids and show win memories of our Danes of the past 20 years from the fancy. We loved them greatly and will always miss them! To start us down memory lane, it’s only fitting to share our foundation bitch and first AKC CH Alyeska I Ain’t No Song&Dance CGC. “Melodie” was the most wonderful ambassador of the breed and one of the sweetest dogs we ever had. This was the first show, at six months and two days- with a jittery, anxious, VERY green handler also in the ring the first time (me!).

Named after Durham’s own brewery called Gizmo, Gizmo’s registered name will be “Dogma Amusabulls Dad Jokes”, after one of their Pilsners. Gizmo is a unique standout just like his namesake. Enjoy spunky playfulness that will keep you in stitches all day long? Gizmo’s that kinda guy too- a born comedian. Presenting our two show prospects from our recent litter! Meet:

Fawn boy “Gus”: Dogma Amusabull PNut Butter With A Chance of Fluff (special thanks to Deep River Brewing in Clayton NC for allowing us to use their beer name!) Gus is owned by the Mossey family and co-owned by Dogma.

Pied fawn brindle girl “T***s”: Dogma Amusabulls Unicorn Farts (special thanks to the awesome DuClaw Brewing Company in Ewing NJ for embracing our crazy idea to use their Sour’s name!). T***s is owned by Dogma and Pam Blackmon of Amusabulls.

Red and white brother “Gizmo” Dogma Amusabulls Dad Jokes (named after a Pilsner beer from Gizmo Brewing in Durham NC) is still available. He’s having a fun day of photos tomorrow and will enjoy his own official post at that time!

They’re here, they’re here!!! Dogma is proud to announce the arrival of our “Moon Pie Minis” born on Tuesday September 24th- 7 little sweethearts in almost every color! The Litter Theme will be “Snack Cakes”. Drop your favorite three snack cake names below— we are starting a list of potential registered names using them!

Please keep an eye on our page for the latest litter updates and news. Interested parties are encouraged to contact us via private messenger, as we are already receiving inquiries. Puppies will be evaluated for show prospects around 7 weeks by Dogma and Oakwood Pointers. Once any breeder selections are made, we will contact prospective homes in list order as to whom is then available.

Thanks again to Toby’s owners, Laurie Cahill, Andrea Martin, and Daniel Martin for the ability to breed to Toby. His exceptional, sweet temperament and correct breed structure have produced some lovely puppies— and he carries for LIVER! We could not be more thrilled!!!
