NEW GIRL for adoption: "Lady" was found running along state highway 288 in Pearland, Texas. The kind people who picked her up took her to the vet to see if she was microchipped, (she was not), nor was she wearing a collar or identifying tags. After several weeks of looking for her owners unsuccessfully, she was surrendered to us and is now available to be adopted by a new family. She is a very shy and timid girl, still learning to trust humans. We are guessing she has not known a lot of love or comfort in her time. She enjoys being in her kennel and is poddy trained. She gets along great with all the other dogs at the rescue (small, medium and large!) We would like to see her adopted into a family with other dogs so she has playmates and a chance to socialize, but she would certainly thrive as an "only child" as well. Adoption fee covers her spay, first round of vaccinations, heartworm test and microchipping. We can transport her for adoption anywhere in the U.S.! Who has room in their hearts for lovely Lady??

this poor little baby was born with “spraddle” or “splayed” legs. We have to bind his legs together 3 to 4 times/day in attempt to correct their position, but he is showing some progress!

We have a variety of birds at the Hound & Hen. You can find all these species in our large, walk through aviary (planted with an assortment of fruit trees). Birds housed here get fresh air, sunshine, room to FLY again, as well as all the insects they can catch! 🐛 🐜 🐞

Mom & babies continue to do very well. We have 3 boys & 1 girl. Know someone who can provide a loving home for one of these little nuggets? They will be available in November once weaned, we can transport anywhere in the U.S. as long as they are still small ✈️ Please spread the word! 🐶

NEW ARRIVAL: surprise! A litter of 4 pups delivered by one of the poodle moms we picked up a few weeks ago. Family is doing well, will need new homes once weaned. Mom is a poodle/terrier mix with a loving disposition. Know anyone looking for a new addition to the family? Please like & share 🐶 👍

FOR ADOPTION: this poodle mama was surrendered to us along with her daughter. She had been living on the streets essentially, her fur & skin were in bad condition AND she is heartworm positive. She is currently undergoing a 3 month treatment for heartworms but will be available for adoption after this. A VERY loving and gentle girl, she has not known much kindness in her life but we are working to turn that around for her. All shots up to date. Ideal home would adopt mother & daughter together. 🐾🏠

FOR ADOPTION: This sweet poodle/terrier mix was surrendered to us (along with her mom). A very sweet & curious girl (she is our little shadow), all shots up to date & she is ready for transport to her new fur-ever home 🐾🏠 (EDIT: this poodle girl gave birth to a litter of 4 puppies, unable to transport until puppies are weaned in November)....puppies available for adoption too!

We picked up “Watson” in Mexico living in a cage full of chickens at a feed store, he was about the size of a softball! One look and we knew he was coming home with us to stay 🏠🐕💕. Tiny, (but fierce), he is a permanent resident of the Hound & Hen.

“Oliver” was running door to door desperately searching for shelter and something to eat. He had no chip, collar or tags, but he is healthy now and full of tough guy attitude. He enjoys wrestling with his brothers and supervising the pack!
