I believe this is Christmas berry. I found a huge patch. Found my tree. It was so sad everywhere I drove today was all burnt out I finally managed to find a patch of trees that was in the cut Zone but it's just not easy I think my tree more appropriate call the Christmas Branch this year needs a little dolling up. I may go back and get some of these
Hillarious
I wonder if budgie feathers have a medicinal quality?
Playing around with the mini flocks naturally shed feathers
The mini flock is still good. But There is a terrible respiratory sickness going around that budgies are catching. Sadly the sickness took both and his girlfriend Summit.

From Crystal...folks I have been separated from my flock for few months now. I have been recovering from a number of illnesses including covid and now a big back surgery. I really missed their antics. I feel like they have grown up without me but they have been cared for by a friend thank goodness. I hope they will be able to return to my care soon.
I have been trying to think about what I can do when I get back on my feet I have a lot of feathers that they shed naturally. I'm thinking about trying to make something out of these like earrings or something simple. Would any of you be interested in these at a reasonable cost it would help me offset my expenses for their care thank you
Soon the mini flock will occupy a new much larger home!

Oh my! Budgie 💘 Lena my special needs budgie seems to have an affinity for Regal. Now I'm still not entirely sure Regal is a girl but these two are besties so they probably know more than me. Maybe I will be able to set up a nest box this spring and I will find out but only if I know the babies are spoken for.
Been a while since I've had a chance to do a video here's a little Skye my boy looking for a hidey-hole
I haven't done a post for a while because I've been engrossed in other projects however today is about budgie sprouts. Many species of birds enjoy fresh greens. I learned this from my friend Mark who raises varieties of finches. He has an outdoor Aviary and a lot of seeds fall to the ground in the bedding. One day he noticed that those seeds sprouted. And his flock who was busily gathering seeds not only for nest material but chomping on them too so as an experiment he brought them inside and put them in a dish to sprout and sure enough his finches gobbled them right up. So I thought I might try the same with my budgies seed mix and look what happened I've been sprouting seed mix in little dishes for them ever since and it's quite a treat. The mini Flock loves them. Remember how your parents always told you how to eat your greens? As the mini flocks human parent I do not have to encourage them much...the know what's good for them already. Soon this will be down to nothing but dirt. And I will have to sprout another tray for them for another treat.
Regal and Lena are besties budgies. Night time for the mini flock engaging in a little Mutual preening and perch sharing just before bedtime. These two we're instant friends the moment they met. They really look out for each other. I am not sure if they are the same gender or a different gender as they are still too young to tell tomorrow The Mini Flock is going into the Truck to the Bird Shop in Roseville to get a Wing Trim and Nail Trim. They get Groomed! Just like a Haircut for people. The Mini Flock gets FREE RANGE Time outside the cage and little Budgies are curious birds. They need to stay Safe. A Proper Wing Trim assures they will fly safely but not get into too much trouble and fly into a window or door! They can still fly for a good workout but will flutter safely and land on the ground softly. They are currently flying a bit too well and I don't want them to become hurt by flying into a window or some other obstacle. Wings trimmed correctly is safe for them and a bit more manageable for me they're human caregiver. The Mini Flock will also get General heath check.
Perhaps we should take bets on how long it will take The Mini Flock to deconstruct this particular roll of toilet paper. this one is. popular Brand name. Any guesses? What's the brand name? How long?
Jade and Star make themselves known! They are my Brave budgies always the first out of the cage on free-range budgie time they sleep upside down and on the side of the cage my little side cliingers. The girls tend to run the show
