We woke up and tried to head to work today🐾! However the weather and roads had other plans 🙊 So we have a snow day ❄️ We went for a walk with Summer and she frolicked in the snow 🥰 Then we came back and practiced some recalls! She had a blast and is napping 😴 Stay safe and warm today!

Another wonderful example of how positive reinforcement training works with all types of animals, not just dogs 🐕

Check out this adorable Bobcat getting a blood draw done.

When you watch videos like this, it raises important questions about training methods. The zookeepers clearly prioritized the animals' welfare and took necessary safety precautions, just as we do when handling aggression cases.

They avoided using force, fear, or physical manipulation—approaches we also steer clear of in our training 🐾

This video highlights why positive reinforcement is the best way to train animals. It's all about building trust and ensuring their well-being!

Rhino 🦏 wants to show you his new skill- a chin rest. He learned this is .008 seconds! We started working on this because he is exuberant times 💯. He's the typical bull in a china shop dog, BUT all of his energy is backed by love ❤️ We have been having so much fun and now this skill has become his default and slows him down a bit. So how did we train this? We captured the behavior! That means he offered it once, we said "yes" and followed up with a reward. The reward was a piece of kibble! After that he learned quickly how it pays off to just chill a bit. No leash pressure, physical manipulation or bribing to get into this position. We are so proud of his progress!
