Well done to the riders from Klassic Key Stables this weekend at the Maffitt Lake Equestrian Center Fantasy Show!! It was a wet and gloomy start to the day Saturday but WOW was there some incredible riding that happened. And Sunday was a beautiful day for dressage with much improvement from last time!!! I am so proud of all of you- Katelyn, Norah, Weston, Nola, Callista, and Sabrina!!! Way to go! Feel free to add more photos in the comments!

Reminder that helmets, long pants, and boots are required for riding even on the hot hot days. If you do not come in with the proper attire for your lesson you will not be riding that day. And EVERYONE in the barn must have on closed toed shoes. Please bring water so that you can take breaks during your lesson. Thank you for your cooperation.

Jimmy received a 60% on First Level Test 1 and 63% on First Level Test 2 at the schooling show this past weekend. Video available. This was his first time performing these tests in front of a judge!!!

A Touch of Blazing, known around the barn as Jimmy, is a 17 HH, 2011, registered Appendix gelding. Jimmy has developed a talent in dressage over the last 2 and a half years with his junior rider, after experience showing AQHA Hunter Under Saddle. Jimmy has a sweet and goofy personality and works to please, whether down centerline or sunset trail rides. He has been shown through training level and is ready to make his first-level debut in the 2024 season. Jimmy enjoys long walks around the property and toting his owner’s younger siblings around as they learn.
Jimmy loads on the trailer easily. He is up-to-date on his vaccines, teeth, Coggins, and farrier work. He currently wears front shoes and is on joint and stomach supplements. Jimmy will come with his bridle and Prestige dressage saddle. Only reason for selling is rider is off to college in the fall.

First Fantasy show at MLEC is in the books. For the most part it was a really good weekend. Thank you to all who participated- Poppy, Norah, Weston, Callista, M’lynn, Sabrina, and James. Everyone came out of the ring with things to be proud of, I know I was proud of them all. Well done! Thank you to my family for all the help and support.

Horses are good this morning! stalled horses were out for about an hour while stalls were cleaned and prepped for the day. Steph helped get everything done quickly before the storm hit. Now everyone including Steph and I are safe and sound. Be safe out there everyone!

Really great weekend at the Valley Park D Series Show!!! Thank you VPS and Stacey and family for putting on a great weekend!
*Norah participated in her first ever all by herself show with Vegas and it was great to see her amazing smile as she came out of the ring on Sunday!
*Weston showed Tommy for the first time and it got me choked up because you can see the partnership that is developing between the two of them.
*Nola and Tw***ie got things done in micro xrails even though Tw***ie would have rather just gone on a trail ride.
*Callista and Tommy went around the micro xrails like they had done it a million times even though this was their first time showing together.
*Millie and Vegas did great together in micro xrails and even cantered a few strides and Millie came out with such a big smile.
*James and TGB Roy also had a great weekend. Sunday Roy really listened and you could see the future is going to be bright for them!
Thank you for all the love and support for my family and these amazing riders! Looking forward to a great season!

We have the GREATEST horses and their people that call Klassic Key Stables their home. One of the always positive, smiling, kindest souls is M’Lynn! We want to take a moment to congratulate her on graduating from high school this coming weekend. She is a wonderful example to all the youngsters that come through the barn. M’Lynn and her family are simply amazing. We wish her all the best in the next chapter of her life- college! We know she will excel and continue to be a bright light to all those around her. Thank you M’Lynn for all you do for the horses and people at Klassic Key.

Hey boarders- we got to the barn to do chores tonight and for the 3rd time in the last week and a half the arena lights have been on when no one is here… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure ALL lights are turned off if you are the last one to leave. Horses were out for a couple hours this morning. It looked like it was going to rain, now it may hold off (of course) but it will allow the grass to come up in their turnouts, so stalled horses are in today. Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Student starting to look for her first horse. Must be quiet and safe for her and her little sister to ride with a soft canter. Jumping small jumps would be nice but not required. Between 14.2 and 16 hands. Between 5 and 14 years old and would prefer a mare. Budget flexible for the right horse. This family is truly the best family to work with, always treating every horse with pure kindness and helping out wherever needed. Always will willing and wanting to learn the next thing. Let me know if you might have something to fit into the lives of this awesome family.

HUGE shout out to a few of our wonderful boarders that came and helped with some spring cleaning on Saturday. Steph, Sabrina, James, Carl, Iz... THANK YOU!!! From bringing donuts, Jimmy Johns, cleaning mirrors, decobwebbing, scrubbing walls and doors, fixing fence, cleaning tack rooms and bathroom... we got tons done. I'm sure I am leaving stuff out. Also Bobby, my partner in everything good and bad, thank you for using your days off to cut trees and work on arenas and keeping me going! Hailee, Brody, and Josephine- you guys did really really good too! Thanks!
