DUKE!!

He is the most perfect gentleman.

Duke is two years old, so friendly with other dogs, ignores horses and cats, and loves all people!!

He spent 9 months in a southern shelter with no interest, where he came originally as a stray.

Duke is crate and house trained, neutered and UTD on vet care, and will make the absolute happiest addition to any family!!

Stevie.

This guy is so special.

He is close to 4 years old, friendly with dogs AND cats, and loves his people so so much.

Stevie’s biggest hurdle is meeting new people. He is muzzle trained and needs structured, safe greetings and a household that will continue to set him up to feel safe around new people. Outside of this, he is a unicorn, and the most pure, lovely, and loving dog!

Meet Echo!! This perfect gentleman transferred from a New England rescue where he was deteriorating in the shelter environment. He was human and dog reactive, despite the amazing team dedicated to his care and success.

We are so glad he is with us! Echo is the quintessential Malinois. Active, fun, highly sensitive, and SOOO CUTE!!

All Ears Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a Maine State licensed non-profit and 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Our priority is to take in and properly rehabilitate dogs facing behavioral euthanasia. Emphasis on effective and positive training, physical stimulation, and mental enrichment are huge parts of their steps towards a healthy way of life, and thus, new forever homes!

We are facing much adversity in the Town of Casco at this time. Our main financial support comes from Hello Doggie Daycare, and with the ongoing uncertainty and unstable future of the business, the last thing we will allow to be affected is the care of the amazing dogs in our rescue.

((To read more about Hello Doggie’s battle, please visit their page at: https://www.facebook.com/hellodoggiedaycare?mibextid=LQQJ4d))

We have several loving, silly, affectionate, intelligent, and FUN dogs looking for homes!!

While they are in our care, keeping them on healthy diets and up to date on all veterinary care is top priority.

You can help us keep all these amazing dogs fed, tackle needed surgeries, and prepare for our future as best as possible.

Please donate if you can! If you are not able to, know that sharing our fundraising campaign and adoptable dogs helps, too!

Please feel free to also reach out with any questions!

Thank you!!

Please share! These incredible dogs are waiting patiently for their perfect homes.

We have had pushback recently on the application requirements for our dogs. What we require is meant to ensure permanent, successful adoptions.

We need to confirm dogs are allowed where you live—that’s not to be nosy, or difficult, it’s to ensure that their basic need of stable housing is met.

Seeing how your past pets were cared for allows us to open a discussion if there are different needs for the pet you are interested in.

Lastly, any dogs in the home must have the same veterinary care as the dogs here. Why? So that if a foster-to-adopt dog comes back to us, we are not risking disease or parasites coming to into the building, and what we require is considered basic level routine care.

Thank you for understanding and helping us find these amazing dogs perfect homes! 🐾❤️

Hello, Animal Lovers!

We wanted to post a quick reminder for potential adopters.

All animals in the home must be current on their Rabies vaccinations. Yes, even your "indoor only" cats.

Dogs must be current on their Rabies, Distemper Combo, Bordetella, 4DX testing, and have a recent negative f***l test. We require more for dogs in the home because we need to do our best to ensure the health of all dogs in our facility should any foster-to-adopt pups come back to our care from potential homes.

We look to see that your current animals have had consistent care while in your homes. If there are lapses, or things missing, we will notice. It is up to YOU to explain or to remediate those things--it is not our job to investigate. We are not here to debate on what is basic care or what is required by State law--and once you begin that debate, you will not be approved to adopt.

You are applying to adopt one of our precious animals. You have to prove to us that you are worthy of them, through and through.

These dogs were already failed by people in their past, and we are doing our best to ensure they are not failed in their future.

Plus, while they are in our care they get to enjoy dog daycare, training, plenty of enrichment, and a real human to sleep with at night. These dogs aren't in danger or in limbo. They are safe and comfortable and will stay in our care until the right people come along.

These are 4/5 of our AVAILABLE German Shepherds!!

(The newest, Farley, will be photographed soon!!)

All of these boys were saved from euthanasia. All of them are COVID dogs--they are about to turn 3 years old in the next few months! So many special dogs with special birthdays coming up!!

These dogs were bred and born here in Maine--yet your local Maine shelters and rescues wanted nothing to do with them. Farley, our newest, was born in TX originally, passed through a handful of homes, and somehow landed in Maine.

All of these dogs live at Hello, Doggie Daycare. They all are incredible with other dogs and a few of them love cats!

We learned last year that posting their photos with Petfinder profiles attracts people who care more about looks than about the animal's needs. So I wanted to share a peek of these beautiful dogs but challenge you all to dig deep into their stories. If you are interested in learning more about them, please visit our Petfinder:

https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/me/bridgton/all-ears-animal-rescue-and-sanctuary-me172/

These are faces that all deserved a real chance at a long life. All of these kids were set up for failure in a time when the whole world was in chaos. They have all learned new skills, abandoned old habits, and are ready for their permanent homes.

Would we keep them all if we could? Yes of course--they bring so much joy!! But we also think this is only the beginning, and we need room for more special COVID kids to have a safe and understanding landing.

Here at All Ears Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, we believe every animal has a story to be heard, and for them we are all ears
