We’re excited to share a success story involving our Getxent HRD odor tubes!

Our biosafe training aids allow handlers to simulate various decomposition scenarios, including “Aquatic Decomposition” odor for water recovery training.

The Peace River K9 Search and Rescue Association Inc. has been working with Splash, an Asian small-clawed otter, to assist in water recovery operations. We’re proud to have supported Splash’s handler, Michael Hadsell, by supplying Getxent HRD odor tubes that made pool training more convenient. After training exclusively with our odor tubes, Splash successfully located evidence during a recent water recovery mission, guiding divers to the source in low-visibility conditions.

Splash continues training with PRSAR, and we look forward to seeing their continued progress and achievements!

Photos from a HRD K9 training exercise in the hospital morgue at Muscatatuck Training Center. This room created a unique setting for odor movement, and handlers had the opportunity to see their dogs work a Getxent HRD Odor tube. Every dog successfully found the burned remains odor source in the door of a mortuary cooler.
