Follow Peace River K9 Search and Rescue Association Inc. to see Splash the otter train for underwater search and recovery using our Getxent HRD odor tubes

We designed and donated this custom odor set specifically for Splash’s training. It includes water decomposition odors from multiple sources, promoting generalization so Splash can reliably detect the target despite variations in odor profiles due to biological differences and environmental factors affecting decomposition in water.

This is a special project we proudly support in recognition of PRSAR and Michael Hadsell’s remarkable work with Splash, an Asian small-clawed otter training in water search and recovery.

At this time, we are unable to offer custom odor sets like this outside of special projects, but we hope to make them a possibility in the future.

I absolutely love these glass vials from ! They’re perfect for the tubes—completely clean and free from contaminating odors caused by plastics, sealants, or adhesives that may be found in other vials.

We use these vials for our individual tube orders, which include a preloaded Getxent tube, enclosed in a glass vial, sealed in a metallized odor barrier bag, and shipped in a secure snaplock container.

Although we don’t sell the vials separately, you can order them directly from Getxent or add them to your HRD odor tube order on Getxent’s website.

We’ve decided on the labels and packaging for the OPM Tins to distinguish them from the bags used for Getxent tubes.

We also found a better magnet for the back of the OPM Tins. Since it’s quite strong, taking these photos was tricky. However, you can rely on it to keep the OPM Tin securely in place when hidden.

As of November 29, the USPS has suspended international mail service to Canada due to the ongoing strike. As a result, alternative carriers, such as FedEx and UPS, have significantly increased their shipping costs.

❇️ For any orders placed on or before November 29th, we will cover the additional shipping costs caused by the USPS suspension of international mail service to Canada.

❇️ We made this decision because we understand how essential our products are for Canadian K9 handlers and want to ensure you are not impacted by unforeseen additional costs for orders already placed.

⚠️ Effective immediately, for orders placed on or after November 30th, shipping to Canada will increase from $15 USD to $30 USD due to circumstances beyond our control. Our website is being updated to reflect this change, which will remain in place until the situation is resolved.
