Want to create routine for you and your dog? Here are some helpful tips to get started! 🐾⏰✨

Create a Consistent Schedule: Creating a schedule that your dog can follow along to is important for introducing structure to their day!

Have a Set Waking Time and Bedtime: Making a distinction between daytime and nighttime helps with regulating your furry friend’s daytime energy and activity!

Set Aside Time for Enrichment and Exercising: Just as we need to have leisure time and exercise to stay healthy, having routine walks or playtime with your pup helps them unwind and keep fit!

Feed at Designated Times: Depending on your dog’s dietary needs, schedule feedings for different segments of the day (adult dogs usually eat 2 or 3 times per day).

What are some of the things you do to make your routine dog-friendly? Tell us in the comments!

Socializing your new puppy can help their behavior and friendship skills, as well as assure them to not be afraid when facing new experiences! Here are some tips for preparing your pup:

Begin Socializing as Soon as Possible: Puppies have a critical socialization period at around 3-14 weeks old. Starting to socialize them early allows you to make the most of their formative time!

Get Your Puppy Used to Touch: Soft pats, rubs, and gentle handling in their earliest stages can help your puppy develop a positive association to touch from other humans or animals!

Take Your Time With New Experiences: Gradually introducing your puppy to new sights, smells, sounds, and locations is a great way to explore environments—but take your time so as to not overwhelm their senses!

Provide Positive Reinforcement: Encouraging your puppy with treats and positive attention after exposing them to new experiences can let them become acclimated to changing environments without fear!

What are some tips you’d recommend for new puppy parents? Share them down below!

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂🐾

As you prepare for Thanksgiving dinner, it's important to remember foods that are toxic to dogs, including:
- Chocolate: contains a chemical called theobromine, poisonous to animals
- Thanksgiving pies and treats: While pumpkin by itself may be okay, spices and sweets in these seasonal pies can be harmful!
- Spices such as nutmeg, oregano, paprika, and others commonly used in Thanksgiving dinners can be irritating and cause gastrointestinal distress
- Garlic, which can damage canines' red blood cells
- Onion, containing disulfides
- Grapes and raisins
- Gravy, since it often contains high amounts of sodium and fat
- Nuts, like macadamia, walnuts, peanuts, and other salted nuts
- Turkey bones, which can splinter and pose a choking hazard
- Alcoholic beverages
