Our new fridge is all set up and filled with delicious fresh free range eggs from the girls

We also have bags of chook poo available for the garden!

We will have some delicious eggs available toward the end of this week- our girls are finally coming off their winter break!

Our little pullet, Licorice (the black one in the photo waiting for her cuddle time with her mama) has just started laying and lays these beautiful maroon eggs. They look even more like a dark pinky purple in real life - the camera doesn't do them justice!!

While our big girls have been off the lay we have been very busy with our littles! This was our first 'big show', we entered 5 of our little Belgian D'uccles - Merlin, Stevie Chicks, Polly Pocket, Enid Blyton and Tabitha.

Our little guys put in a big effort - all of them bringing home a card and little Merlin winning Best of Breed against 25 other D'uccles!!

We are so excited and proud 🧡✨️

Our beautiful Brahma girl Bev recently became a mum to an orphaned wood duck. She has nurtured her from a little fuzz ball to a healthy young duck. It really goes to show the absolutely beautiful nature of Brahmas. They are incredibly gentle and doting mothers, one of our favourite breeds!

Our little new hampshire x brahmas are growing beautifully. Although they were oopsie-babies, they are absolutely adorable and have lovely temperaments! Their adoptive mama Mavis the silkie has been doing a great job with them! Can't wait to see what they are like all grown up ✨️
