Though hot outside, the first Concord NC cluster was crispy cool inside; and the ACP kids came through with some nice wins 🥰

"Chompy" Rottie kicked off the week with his third major (a five pointer this time) to finish. He also picked up a 5 pt major towards his Grand. He is now CH TJ'S Meadow Trump-stir Force Be Witham v G-Man's. Bred and owned by Tim & Julie Witham and Paul and Tina Walters.

"Vegas" Doberman, ADAMAS On The Edge Of My Seat ATT, snagged her second major win. Bred & owned by myself.

Not to be outdone by her sister Vegas, "Bree" ADAMAS Cutting Edge stepped up to be awarded her first major. Owned by Rose Madonna and myself.

"Felon" Boxer, GCH Baibrook's Mandatory Life Sentence, picked up 4 more points towards his GCHB. Owned by Kelli Neal. Bred by Karen Kaleta.

All responsible breeders know the heartache from dogs that they bred passing away. Handlers feel the same about dogs they have shown and developed special relationships with. Gabriel was one of those dogs for me. As soon as I heard he was sick, Linda Pancake and I were on the phone consulting. We spent another 2 hours talking after he passed.
I had this beautiful head study made as a surprise for Linda after Gabriel finished his Grand Championship. I'm so glad I have it to remember him by.
I'm missing you from afar, you handsome Goofball, but you'll always be in my heart ❤️

Successful week in Perry, and of course, good fun and food with friends!
"Tsavo" Doberman won her competive Open Black class all but one day, and picked up her first major.
"Thunder" Doberman won a hard earned Select among very tough competition.
"Chompy" Rottie earned his first major.
"Johnny" GWP earned a point (no picture) 😔
"Steel" GSP was Select Dog at the GSP of Atlanta specialty.

While she handled dogs at AKC shows, this "handler" was NOT an AKC Registered Handler, nor a member of the Professional Handlers Association. Few "handlers" are- around 85 PHA and 65 AKC RHP, and even fewer that are both. Of course there is never any guarantee, but these organizations hold their members to very high standards of care and conduct. As an AKC RHP, my RV and my home are inspected on an ongoing basis, I must make all of my rates and contracts publicly available, and I must carry Care/Custody/Control insurance. I am answerable to not only these organizations, but to my fellow member peers.
It's the rotten apples like this that taint all handlers, but know that those handlers of the AKC RHP and PHA go above and beyond every day to protect the dogs in their care.

A Radcliff woman has been charged in a case of animal cruelty after police say 21 dogs in her care were found dead in and around her home.

Despite the crazy weather, the trip to Brooksville FL for 10 days of competitive shows was worth it!
Doberman "Blitz" picked up back-to-back 3rd and 4th majors (the last being a 5 pointer at the DPC of Florida specialty) to become CH Notori's Up On The Rooftop at Cralyn. Blitz is the first AKC Champion for Preston.
-Boxer "Pare" earned a 4 and 5-point majors (as well as two reserves to 4 pointers) to become CH Sambria's A Touch of Frost.
- Mastiff "Nando" went Winners several times to single out at 10 months. Unfortunately, the few majors broke so we will have to regroup to nail those down.
- Doberman "Astrid" went Winners but sadly did not cross over for the major that she needed.
- I welcomed Doberman "Paris" who kicked off the second cluster with me.
My thanks to Sara McLarnon for doing a load of stinky puppy laundry for me, and to Steve Stewart for covering Pare a couple of days.

And Weimaraner, Graylanes Moira Cocktail of Fada, aka Moira picked up her last single to finish her Championship from the 6-9 class!

Indianapolis, IN and Novi, MI wrap-ups...
In Dobermans,
*Rahdy's Name Of The Game, aka Jax, was oh-so-close 3 times going RWD. But he showed great and got lots of compliments.
*Epic's Daughter of Liberty SWN SCA SIA SBA CGC, aka Calida-Padita, was RWB 2 times and nailed it on the last day for her first major!
*GCHS Raindance Walking On Sunshine WAC, aka Remy, picked up 4 Selects.
In Rottweilers, Leviticus Von Der Alten Welt came away with a four-point major. This handsome, natural tailed boy just needs his second major to finish.
And the 'Star in the Car' goes to Weimaraner, Graylanes Moira Cocktail of Fada, aka Moira (a la Schitt's Creek) lifted her glass to her second and third majors from the 6-9 class. This doll just needs one point to finish.
I can't say that I enjoyed the snow and bad roads that forced me to sleep in my van for 2 nights outside the Indy show building, but it was great spending time with longtime friends Kim Langley and Rick & Irene Wilcox. And it was nice to get to know Becky and Jeff Archer better- thanks Jeff for the assist with Moira!

"Calida" Epic's Daughter of Liberty went WB and BOS over a special for 2 points.
"Remy" GCHS Raindance Walking On Sunshine WAC made a clean sweep of the Breed, and nabbed two Group 4s under Houston and Toddie Clark.
* In Weimaraners "Moira" Graylanes Moira Cocktail of Fada picked up 4 points and a Breed over a special.
* At the puppy match "Raina" Raindance Sunshine on a Rainy Day got her first stab at showing, going Group 1.

Super proud of how the kids did this weekend! Thanks to their breeders and owners for giving me such lovely dogs to work with!

Clemson SC recap. As usual, the arena was cold but with their fleece coats, the dogs didn't seem to mind.

* Talk about Cute Factor- Weimaraner "Moira" Graylanes Moira Cocktail of Fada waltz away with a Major win her first time in the ring!
* German Shorthaired Pointer "Steel" GCH Riveredge Forged In Fire got Best of Opposite Satuday and Best of Breed on Sunday from among 10 special entries.
* And Flat Coated Retriever "Justin" CH Rustic's Justify took a 3 pt Select bringing him to one point shy of his Grand.

Slow in posting, but I wanted to send a Congratulations and Thank You to Laura Jones for allowing me to handle her lovely bitch Aspen at the DPCA National. After guiding her through a large Open Black class, Aspen went on to finish her championship by going Winners Bitch (from well over 100 bi***es) under breeder-judge Robert Vandiver.
