The DTCCU Rally Trials held July 27 and 28 have been closed out by AKC. Teams earning new titles at our trials should watch their respective mailboxes for certificates.

Congratulations to Belia Farver from Lowell, IN! Belia won the Hospice Hearts quilt! The recent rally raffles generated over $1000.00 for Hospice Hearts and their mission to assist animals in need whose owners have passed or moved to assisted living. Thank you to all who bought tickets or donated raffle prizes. A special thank you to DTCCU member and quilting artist Deb DiPietro for sharing her talent so unselfishly.

Plan to attend the DTCCU Summer Rally Trials July 27 and 28. Entries close Wednesday, July 10. The trial secretary reports entries already have the four trials over half full with 2 weeks before closing.

The summer rally trials also present the Hospice Hearts Raffle! This year's large quilt by Deb DiPietro is phenomenal as well as other offerings including a 10x10 pop-up canopy, new dog crates, a repeat of the very popular paw print afghan, home decor, and other canine accoutrements! 100% of the proceeds are given to Hospice Hearts.

Join us at DTCCU for a weekend of rally fun! The premium list is attached for your convenience.

AKC notified DTCCU they recorded and closed the club's trials held March 16 & 17. If you finished a title, watch the mailbox for your dog's certificate. Again we thank you for entering the trials and congratulations on your achievements!

Thanks to the myriad Rally Teams competing at DTCCU this weekend. There were so many Qs and new titles earned by diligent training teams. Congratulations!

The July 27 & 28 Rally Trials will be here before we know it. The premium list is in the works and will be posted here as soon as it's finished. Wonderful items are already being pledged for the Hospice Hearts Raffle. Instead of pricey coffee, save the money from one cup a week and buy raffle tickets for Hospice Hearts in July!

Calling all obedience enthusiasts! Entries are coming in quite regularly for the DTCCU fall trial. The June trials filled quickly and November looks to be a full house repeat at DTCCU. Russell and Bonnie Hornfisher are the judges for the weekend. Pick up your leash and canine teammate and join the fall fun at the Dog Training Club of Champaign-Urbana!

Raffle tickets for the quilt can be purchased at the Dog Training Club of Champaign Urbana the evenings of Tuesday 7/25 or Wednesday 7/26 from 6-8 pm. They can also be purchased at the trials this weekend at the club 7/29 or 7/30 from 9-12. Quilt drawing is in Sunday, July 30.

The Trial Secretary reports entries are flooding in for the upcoming DTCCU Rally Trials on July 29 and 30! Entries close July 12 but this trial historically fills before the closing date. Remember Rally Pairs and Teams are offered at this trial too as well as Rally Choice. The premium is available here:

Rally Master (6 PM) and Excellent (7:15 PM) Trial Prep courses are offered at DTCCU on Tuesdays starting June 25 and continuing July 11, 18, and 25. (No class on July 4). The drop-in fee is $10 for DTCCU members and $20 for non-members. Please email me if you plan to join for a night or two on a drop-in basis. The class size limit is 10.
