This handsome Chesapeake Bay Retriever is from the first litter ever sired by our Lakes 'n Fields Clark Kent just after Clark received OFA judged excellent hips, normal elbows, and completed dna health testing. PM for details if you have adventures to plan. This guy is ready in MN as of 8/8/24.

Informative article. According to veterinary parasitologist, Dr. Kathryn Duncan's research. The gold standard f***l float procedure that requires less than a Tbsp (30ml) of fresh f***s detects parasite eggs about 4% of the time. Asking your vet to also run an antigen test will increase the rate of detection to over 80%. Her research team collected p**p from dog owners at dog parks in exchange for a $5 coupon for Starbucks! You never know when picking up after your dog can be lucrative!?!?!?

Update: on Monday 7-24-23 in the a.m. Gypsy whelped 8 healthy puppies: 5 boys and 3 girls!
They'll be two weeks old tomorrow, August 7th SO adorable! Their eyes are opening and ears will be soon. See Puppy pile picture (for attention) from yesterday.

On Wednesday 7-19-23 Gypsy's puppy count xray was done - Veterinarian says confidently: 8 pups. we're prepared for nine if one possibly is obscured. As of today, Friday 7-21 no pups yet!

News! : Our Gypsy (Chesapeake Bay Retriever) had a positive confirmation of pregnancy ultrasound on June 21st, 2023. AKC and UKC registerable pups expected last week of July....ready for new homes in early September. Stay tuned for news of puppy count x-rays in about 3 weeks. Sire and Dam are both clear for DM, ED, PRA1/prcd, Long coat, and EIC. (pm for litter pedigree)

Gypsy's puppy count x-ray happened today! Our Vet counted 9 puppies. They all looked to be about the same size so it seems our girl has been doing a great job!

News!: Luci and Max are having puppies! As of yesterday 2-22-2022 the ultrasound showed multiple puppies and confirmed pregnancy.
The puppy count X-ray is scheduled for 3-22-2022 and the vet gave her a due date of Friday March 25th, 2022. Update: Thank you to all of you watching this post. Unfortunately, according to ultrasound on Friday, Sept 3, 2021, our Luci was found not to be carrying Max's litter. We will try again after Luci's next heat cycle expected to occur in January of 2022. Having bred companion/family-protector/hunting goldens 30+ years ago. By popular request, trainer and owner of Provo's Goldens was planning to offer the first of our next generation's litters. Luci and Max mated 7-20-2021 - however a confirmation of pregnancy ultrasound done available n Sept 3rd, 2021 revealed she had not conceived. Maximum Limit hales from Iowa, has Master Hunter title holders for Grandparents. Slough Crasher, "Luci" hales from Princeton, MN and is sired by Master Hunter "Thistlerock's New Kid On the Block." Both parents live with us and are awesome hunting retrievers with the sweetest temperaments. Max is working toward his Junior Hunter title.
