I have two years of experience working as a vet tech at an urgent care walk in clinic, which is where I learned how to shave the worst kinds of mats, handle very nervous animals, give many many nail trims, and clean the worst kinds of ears. I have worked at two doggy daycare/boarding facilities, so I know quite a bit about dog behavior. FAQ
How does scheduling work? Scheduling is primarily set up through Facebook messenger. For those who do not use Facebook, other methods, such as email or texting, is available. Simply message a brief description of your pet and what services you’re interested in, as well as some times you are available. Once a day/time is agreed upon, I will send you an appointment confirmation, location information, and a new client/groomer release form. What is the new client/groomer release form? The new client form asks basic questions to get to know the client, such as their name and best contact in case of an emergency. The groomer release form includes information on liability, veterinary records, etc. A digital copy is sent over prior to all appointments. You can fill this out online, or wait until the day of the appointment and I will provide a printed copy for you. The primary reason for sending the forms digitally is to ensure the clients have plenty of time to review the forms and ask any questions. How does drop off/pick up work? Once a day/time is agreed upon, simply drop off your pet at the front door of the grooming location. Once the grooming session is completed, I will message (either via text or messenger – you choose!) to let you know your pet is ready for pick up. Do I stay during the appointment? Most clients use this time to run errands while some that live nearby return home. I understand not all clients live close by enough to return home and come back, so I suggest visiting some of the nearby cafes. If you would like to wait at the house during the appointment, this is absolutely fine, just be aware that there is no official waiting area. How long will the appointment take? Depends on breed, size, temperament, and services performed. I try to give my best time estimate at drop off.
