I recently taught a class to my students on the importance of our gut health. I’m certain it wasn’t the most fun and exciting class we’ve done yet, but it’s surely an important one. What goes in our body effects absolutely every system we have. Our digestive system has to work hard to pull out the nutrients we need to sustain a healthy body and sometimes we aren’t giving ourselves the nourishment we deserve. Our gut health( or lack of) can be connected to autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue, anemia, IBS, inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, acne, fibromyalgia, eczema and the list can go on and on but you get the point- it’s vital to health. Within the last 100 years or so we’ve slowly eliminated bitters out of our diet. Just the taste of bitters on your tongue will stimulate all the receptors through your system,they will also stimulate stomach acid and increase bile production which is a big part of cleaning out toxins.I felt a pull on my heart to open a small line of digestive extracts and will have a tea this later part of spring as well. At the moment I’m offering a few 1 & 2 oz bottles and will have a restock in a couple weeks. Everything I create is made with organic material and always small batches.
