Hey Everyone!

I am starting up my own carpentry business! This business will differ from coastal kennels as it will purely be based on builds that people will interact with daily. Whether it be an entertainment area or floating desk I hope I will be the go to guy in the near future.

Luxury Cat Enclosure
This was done a few weeks back and I couldn't have been happier with the end result. This luxury cat enclosure is for when the owner wants to give her cat some fresh air whilst still having the option of being tucked away.

There is an access point to get the cat from the outside of the enclosure which saves you from entering.

The dimensions for this enclosure was 3000mm x 1500mm x 2000mm high.

Microbat Duel Chamber Boxes
These microbat boxes are made from hardwood exterior plywood and have had two coats of exterior oil applied.

These boxes can be fixed to a tree via the rope or a tek screw at the top and bottom of the box.

The 'Lino' Kennel - Small
Dimensions: 900mm (w) x 800mm (d) x 650mm (h)
This small version of the 'Lino' Kennel is ideal for smaller dog breeds. It has all been handmade and is built using treated pine fence pailings, Grey gum architraves, colorbond roofing as well as treated pine framing.

Possum Box - Brushtail
These are made from hardwood exterior plywood and have been finished off with 2 coats of exterior oil which will provide protection. There are internal grooves as well as external grooves to aid the Possum when it climbs in and out of the box.
These are great if you have some little rascals in your roof as you can install them near their entry point and entice them in with some food.

'The Dre' Kennel - Medium
This style of kennel is more traditional with the door being located at the front of the kennel and not off centered. This kennel has a liftable lid which makes it easy to clean out the interior of the kennel and it makes it easier to put the bedding back in if your pup is a devil.

'The Lino' Kennel - X Large

This is a luxury kennel that is 1.4m long x 1.1m deep x 800mm high footprint. This kennel provides shelter from the elements with the door that is off centered and to the left of the front. This allows for the bedding to be out of the rain as well as enabling your pup to be curled up out of entrance way.

Here we have an indoor dog crate that I made for two Cavoodles. The client wanted a piece of furniture that can also double as a safe place for her pups to call home at night.

I'm very happy with how it turned out and I can't wait to build another one soon.

After a hard few days at work this cat enclosure is now complete. This enclosure was a challenge but the end result was definitely worth it.
This enclosure is for two cats that can now call this enclosure their home when they aren't inside with the family. It has a few ledges and a separate section where they can chill out and enjoy the view.
It was made from treated pine outdoor framing wood with colorbond roofing. Reinforced cat netting was used to wrap enclosure.

Coastal Kennels will be making a craft market debut on the Mornington Peninsula!

I'm very excited to announce that I will be having my first stall at the Mornington Racecouse handcraft market on the 9th of May. The market will be running from 9am until 2pm.

I hope to have a wide range of products some old and some new designs.

This is a rabbit feeder box that was made with 15mm hardwood ply. It has a liftable lid where you then stuff the section with hay for the bunnies to eat whilst they do their business in the tray (sold separately)
The dimensions of this feeder box are 445mm Wide x 450mm Deep x 380mm Tall. The tray dimensions are 320mm Deep x 415mm Wide x 100mm high.

For those living on the peninsula who enjoy walks on the beach with their dogs I highly recommend heading down near the Rosebud skatepark.

The beach down here is absolutely stunning, there are sandbanks scattered throughout the foreshore where you can run with your pup or walk in the water.

Definitely worth checking it out!

This is an appreciation post to all of you who have made Coastal Kennels possible.

I was sitting in my workshop today and I have realized how far this little side hobby has come. Almost a year ago I was thinking of what I was going to be doing for my uni project, this is when I decided to build a kennel for my dog with only four tools in my possession.
-
After posting the end result to Facebook I then received a few messages asking me if I would be interested in building a few other projects that weren't a kennel, and well, that was the birth of Coastal Kennels.
-
After almost a year of on and off work I have now completely revamped my dad's shed into what I now call my shed. I have been able to upgrade my tool arsenal and improve my craft immensely.

It is amazing to see how far I have come and I can't wait to build my next few projects and share them with you all.

This was a dog enclosure for a aussie bulldog that I built the other day in Tooradin. It was made from treated pine which was primed and painted with wire wrapped around that was nailed to the posts and batons.
