Arguably the most influential son of his sire Naseem (Skowronek x Nasra by Daoud), bred by Lady Wentworth at Crabbet Park and one of four full siblings, the other three being the exquisite by ill fated stallion Naziri and the mares Nasifa, who was sold to Russia with Naseem, and Nasieda, who went to Spain to the Duke of Veragua.

During his 17 years at Tersk, Negatiw sired 106 purebred foals for Tersk. Interestingly, only 8 of those foals (with Salon and Nabor heading the list) bred on into modern breeding. I asked Howie Kale why? Why so many foals and what happened to them and he told me they were used as riding horses, work horses or used in their part-bred program breeding on.
Interesting. Then Negatiw went to Poland in 1962, 7 years after his son Nabor (x Lagodna by Posejdon) went there, and the rest is history.

Negatiw was magical on the Polish mares, siring 121 foals over the next 12 breeding seasons and forever changing the look and quality of the Polish blood stock and the blood stock of breeding farms around the world. Of the 121 Polish bred off spring, over half
(67) were imported to the US, with many of them breeding on in Poland before their export. Another 17 Negatiw offspring went to Canada, Brazil, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Costa Rica and Great Britain, ensuring the Negatiw influence world wide that is still heavily felt today.📸photography by Andrew Steen, 1965

Did you know.... Arabian Horses have large nostrils that together with their large trachea (that gets even larger when the neck is elongated by the natural head movement during sprints) allow them to breathe in larger volumes of air. Their lungs can extend more compared to other horse breeds because Arabians miss one pair of ribs. The bedouins call the gap between the jaw and the neck of the horse "mitbah". When this furry fairy put those little hands at work your horse end up with dreadlocks in a matter of minutes. And if it's mostly during winter time that you find your horse with a plaited mane more often it's because when it's cold outside, a warm stable is exactly what the little weasel is looking for. It is best not to untangle your horse's mane because sometimes weasels bite their necks. Road to Zorabia "El Zorab" Arabian Horse Show 2022 ECAHO _____________________________ The Bedouin created an oral system to identify each Arabian horse and ascertain its origin. They primarily rode mares and kept few stallions, and their method was based on female lines of descent. This matrilineal or strain system is hundreds of years old, dating at least as far back as 1660. Strain names have at least two parts: the rasan and the marbat. The rasan (literally, “bridle” or “rope”) represents the interwoven strands of the entire pedigree of the horse, following the dam lines for generations. Rasan has come to be called strain in English. The marbat (literally, “the place where the rasan is tied”) adds provenance, generally representing the person who was primarily associated with that strain. For example, Kuhaylan Rodan.
