Update, that didn't take long and I knew it wouldn't. Hattie will be staying with me for a few more weeks while the weather settles and then she will be heading to the west coast! Watch for more updates on with who!

You may have noticed that Hattie is back and looking for a chocolate factory again. Due to some significant health issues in the home, the tough decision was made to return her.

So Hattie is looking for a conformation/performance spot. This girl has the willingness to work and will work forever if a cookie is involved. She offers behavior, is drivey and a quick learner. She is speedy, agile and handler focused. I introduced her to a rat in a tube yesterday and she was barking, pawing and biting at it. She is already searching for treats in boxes for her foundation for scent work and she was started on mantrailing before she was returned. She has no problems with uneven, moving surfaces and has figured out how to mountain goat to where her crate is stacked.

Happy 6th Birthday to the Lost Boys!! The first litter I ever bred with the wonderful help of Mary Ann Lambert by leasing me Libby to breed to Campbell to produce these great boys. At that time, I was going to be a partner in Sketchbook so they were bred under that kennel name in partnership with Liz. Sketchbook made other decisions about partners and Mischief was born!

These boys are amazing and more than I could have asked for in my first litter. Amazing families that love them, all keep in touch and have become family to each other.

Registration is now open for the Bergit seminar! Working slots will have 1 on 1 with their dog at whatever level they are at for prep for the show ring. She will work with you to improve your skills and raise it to the next level. Auditing spots can watch, take notes, ask questions and do everything the working slots do but can't bring your personal dog.

Lunch provided both days. Each year she says this is her last year and one of these times it will be so don't risk not coming!

Salty, Mischief Veruca Wants It Now, had a play weekend with her BFF, Iggy, a border terrier. She is doing great with crate training but the cold is making her rethink her house training. 🥶❄️😂. She is a cuddler, calmer than her siblings and just wants to hang with her people.

Can you even believe that Waylon hasn't found the right people yet? He is playful and happy just being with his people. No major exercise requirement, happy go lucky, give him a few toys and he entertains himself.

Please excuse the shreading on the floor - the puppies have redecorated and I haven't cleaned it up yet.

And Hattie has went home! She was excited to meet her new brother, Scorch, until he got out and he was a little bigger ...

And Hattie has went home! She was excited to meet her new brother, Scorch, until he got out and he was a little bigger than she was expecting! He thinks she is just adorable though.

Hattie has gone to live in Tennessee with Linda Hurst, who has been in giant schnauzers for a long time. I'm honored Linda came to me for her first Standard schnauzer. We will see Hattie in the conformation ring but more importantly, Hattie will be training in SAR work. I'm excited for this adventure and can't wait to watch their progress.

You asked and well, we are doing it again! Registration will open after the first of the year but we are bringing Bergit back!!! Mark your calendars for 3/8-9. Working slots limited to 20 people, auditing unlimited!

Bergit is a terrier legend, AKC judge, former professional handler and world famous for her knowledge and skills. Each year she says it is her last one but she just keeps teaching and we appreciate it. She will revolutionize how you strip and groom your dog. After working with her, my form is 100% better, I don't put holes and my coats look fantastic. Each time she comes, I learn something more.

Watch for registration opening announcements...cost for a working slot will be $275 to $300 depending on her airfare for both days. Auditing will be $125 for both days. Lunch will be included. Springfield, MO. Hotel information will be posted later

Took advantage of the weather while we could and did some herding work in the big field. Tova is coming along very nicely. She still sometimes likes to bust them but for the most part keeps in control. It was nice to get out in a bigger field to work.

Hedgie has officially received her Grand certificate and we are in awe of the change in this girl in almost three years she's been around. She was a model citizen for her friend spree this weekend on a walk in the park and not a trace of the crazy we are use to. She might be growing up *sniff* Untill agility practice tonight and the crazy will come out!

Took advantage of the weather while we could and did some herding work in the big field. Tova is coming along very nicely. She still sometimes likes to bust them but for the most part keeps in control. It was nice to get out in a bigger field to work.

We have been so busy we haven't been herding in a few weeks but we got back to it last night!! We worked on calm movement of the stock. While photos of dogs chasing the stock make for great action photos, it isn't proper herding and the goal is to teach the dog to move the stock calmly as not to stress them. This has been challenging for Tova but she is starting to get it. Good girl Tova.
