We have been so busy we haven't been herding in a few weeks but we got back to it last night!! We worked on calm movement of the stock. While photos of dogs chasing the stock make for great action photos, it isn't proper herding and the goal is to teach the dog to move the stock calmly as not to stress them. This has been challenging for Tova but she is starting to get it.

Tova and I spent the weekend in Tulsa with the Tulsa Dog Training Club running agility. We started our agility training at the beginning of 2024. Tova is doing fantastic if I would be a better partner but in less than a year we have managed to get 1 JWW leg and 2 standard legs in novice. Tova has done fantastic in her training thanks to our amazing agility instructor, Dee Daily.

We really appreciate everyone's support and encouragement this weekend and those that filmed us. It means a lot as I start a venture in a new dog sport! Isn't this a cute photo booth someone set up this weekend.

"Salty" Mischief Veruca Wants It Now is ready for a couch to warm and a performance partner to train with.

Salty is the one in the group that likes to think before she leaps unlike all the others that are all game on. Don't let her pondering fool you though as she is a smart cookie. Already trained in snuggling too. Ears are natural but tail is done. She has an extremely harsh coat and will probably not grow much furnishings.

Let's welcome Jamie Lory and Juan Calderon to the mischief! White... Mischief Dreamers Of Dreams, possibly known as Arturo, has went to live with them in Minnesota! He will get to see his sister Cusiey, Aunt Mari and Uncle River often! He will be hitting the performance ring as he and Jamie learn about sports together. Since we were headed to see Cyndi Lauper in Minneapolis, we delivered White to them. I always forget how cold the Minnesota winters are! White agreed it was cold but said he would get used to it.

The baby lowchens went to visit their new friend Vivian! She is 8ish (we know dogs not humans) and they all had a blast chasing each other around. Thanks for the play date Viv!

What better way to spend a holiday weekend than with your great dogs!

Jennifer and Tova hit the barn hunt ring in Columbia, MO, earning 4 out of 5 master B Q's with 2 third places, 2 first places and 2 High in class. Her missed Q was completely handler error. She also earned more points towards her CZ8P title!

Kim and Peter earned their first master A Q with a high in class and what would have been an REMX leg if he was in master B.

Kim and Keona earned a second place in master A and just need 1 more leg to finish her master A title!!

In Texas, Lura and Beau hit the obedience ring earning their first Q towards their CDX with a first place. Beau also rocked the conformation ring with select dog both days!

And then there were 3! Brown now known as Max, Mischief Gives It A Little Kick, has joined his Uncle Dutch with the Hall family! You will recall that Dutch is a Narnia kid! We will be seeing Max in the conformation ring with his Uncle Dutch!

Another Oompa Loompa has left the chocolate factory!! Blue will be known as Auggie, Mischief Augustus Gloop, and heading for performance work. He has an older Kerry Blue Terrier sister named Ziggy to show him the ropes! We will be seeing a lot of Auggie which is exciting!!

Last night the Ooompa Loompas got introduced to herding! They were not scared of the sheep and even eventually figured out they could move them. These puppies have structure and working drive! We can't wait to see what they accomplish. More videos and pictures in the comments!

Breakfast baby lowchen update! It has been a bit but we got photos done from our good friend Amanda and oh man how cute are we!! I am loving the personalities and heads that are developing!

The first of the Oompa Loompas to leave got an early start home. I don't typically let puppies go with stitches unless you have experience dealing with them. Sunny has that and more. I'm honored that one of my mentors is taking a puppy home.

The Oompa Loompas had a big day yesterday but all came through it wonderfully. Blood pressure was great, no issues with waking up and handling the post recovery exceptional. We tried a new location this time and I am thrilled with what I am seeing so far. Once we can share the results, we will share where we went. We will always be Dr. Midgarden fans and always recommend her though! Big thanks to Sunny Lambert for traveling with me to help assist with the puppies.

We might have 1 puppy available. Currently waiting on someone to make a decision so if interested please submit an application on our website to open a discussion!

Finishing up the lowchen show weekend-

Tw***ie got a three point major on Saturday leaving her needing 3 singles to finish her championship.

Cici on the west coast is kicking butt and taking names with Adament Lowchen. We posted about her huge breed win from the classes, the next day she got another major which finished her championship at 6 months from the bred by class. We don't push dogs to finish fast but if they do it on their own, who are we do say no!! The last day of the show, she moved up and went BOS for a major towards her Grand!

It is Barn Hunt National time!! Mischief Standard schnauzers and Lowchens also helps run Ozarks Mischief Barn Hunt who hosts the Barn Hunt National every year in Springfield, MO! Friday was course 1 and teams! Tova and Roger missed Qing in course 1 but did get that Q in teams!! Come visit us Saturday and Sunday!

What it's like to be a few weeks old lowchen puppy!!

My belief with my program has always been that while we are conformationally correct, we also need to be able to work. This is why you don't see me in the show ring every weekend like some. A herding legend that I have admired for over 20 yrs has agreed to start teaching Tova and I'm so glad to be back to this after loosing my boxer that I did this with. This is Tova's second lesson and she is doing fantastic. So Mischief might not be in the conformation ring every weekend but know that is because we are doing other things and working our working dogs.

Rogue is having a great time in North Carolina with Samantha and Avery. He has been best of breed every day so far and made the cut in groups since his G4 earlier in the show. One more day and he gets a few days off! Rogue looks fantastic with Sam doesn't he!

It is FRIDAY!!! What are your weekend plans? Driving to Westminster? Taking the weekend off? Barn hunt Regional? Talon is trying his paw at lure coursing and loving it in Oklahoma some of us are hanging at a scent work trial in KC Share your plans and pictures with us!
