🚨 NEW PARTNER CLINIC! 🚨

What’s cuter than one dog? Having the privilege of taking care of two! 🐕🐶

Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon, Dr. Michelle Powers and Veterinary Technician, Daniel Leveroni were recently invited to Ark Animal Homecare for the first time to perform two TPLO procedures for this precious duo, Shooter, a 10-year-old cocker spaniel, and Levi, a 4-year-old pit bull. ❤️

📚VetMed Fact: Very similar to humans, dogs commonly suffer from injuries to the ligaments (Cranial Cruciate Ligament) and the cartilage (Meniscus) within the knee. Once these tissues are damaged, the knee becomes unstable and this leads to the development of swelling (effusion) within the joint.

We can’t say enough amazing things about Ark Animal Homecare. It’s such an awesome clinic owned and run by Dr. De Beckers and her incredibly talented staff. Thank you so much for having us! ☺️

Lee needed his bladder evaluated due to a recent urinary obstruction. We found that he has a very thick bladder wall, and we are working closely with his amazing doctors at Lake Side to create a plan to help him feel more comfortable. ❤️

Thank you for giving Dr. Buckley the opportunity to participate in the care of your patients! We look forward to collaborating again in the near future! 🎉🐾

Board-Certified Veterinary surgeon, Dr. Michelle Powers and Veterinary Assistant, Samm, were invited to Mitchell Animal Hospital for the first time to perform a TPLO procedure for brave Cleo. 🐶❤️

Overtime, arthritis will form, so not only will mobility be affected but the condition is painful.

We know Cleo will feel so much better now, and we appreciate having the opportunity to participate in their care. Thank you to the amazing team at Mitchell Animal Hospital for trusting us with your sweet patients! 🐾

Brody has no regrets about eating this avocado pit! 🥑

Dr. Faith Buckley, a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist, and Jennifer, a Fear-Free Certified Technician, met Brody at Goffstown Animal Hospital to remove the ingested avocado pit using their KARL STORZ endoscopy equipment.

🏥VetMed Fact: While anesthesia is still required, endoscopy allows for a minimally invasive option to retrieve items that shouldn't have been ingested. It avoids more serious complications that can be encountered with surgery, and the recovery is minimal (patients are typically back to normal within a few hours)! Unfortunately, not all items can be removed with endoscopy, but if your pet ingested something it shouldn't have, please ask about this alternative option.

Thankfully, Dr. Buckley has plenty of experience retrieving various items and was able to successfully remove this pit from Brody's stomach. We hope he feels better and in the future he stays far away from avocados! 🐾❤️

Mickey was saving this quarter for a rainy day!

Dr. Buckley and Jennifer visited Best Friends Animal Hospital to remove a quarter that Mickey ingested using their KARL STORZ endoscopy equipment.

Sweet Mickey should be feeling better now and he can add this quarter to his piggy bank! 🐾❤️

Elle is still sleepy, but happy the TPLO procedure was a success! 🐶

Dr. Powers and Samm visited Elle at Animal Health Center of Salisbury, performed a TPLO procedure to help stabilize the knee joint.

Once these tissues are damaged, the knee becomes unstable and this leads to the development of swelling (effusion) within the joint. Dr. Powers and Daniel visited Lola at Rowley Animal Hospital for a TPLO procedure to help stabilize her knee joint. They of course, had to say hi to the clinic cat Chloe and her pet fish as well! 🐱🐠

This is Fay. 🐱 She was missing the warm summer months and decided to eat her owner’s swim suit to preserve the feeling of summer. 👙

Dr. Faith Buckley, a Board-Certified Veterinary Internist, and Jennifer, a certified veterinary technician, visited Bedford Veterinary Medical Center to evaluate Fay and retrieve the pieces of swim suit using their KARL STORZ endoscopy equipment.

We are happy to report Dr. Buckley was able to remove the swim suit from sweet Fay and she should be feeling much better soon! ❤️

This is Harry and he was feeling very festive about Christmas, inside and out 🙀

Dr. Buckley and Jennifer visited Banfield Pet Hospital - Manchester after Harry began to unexpectedly vomit hair ties. It is not uncommon for kitties to ingest hair ties, but they can lead to a life-threatening situation often requiring surgery.

In an effort to avoid surgical intervention, Dr. Buckley was able to use her KARL STORZ endoscopy equipment. What she expected to find was more hair ties in Harry's stomach, but instead found part of a Christmas tree🎄

🏥 VetMed Fact: While anesthesia is still required, endoscopy allows for a minimally invasive option to retrieve items that shouldn't have been ingested. It avoids more serious complications that can be encountered with surgery, and the recovery is minimal (patients are typically back to normal within a few hours)! Unfortunately, not all items can be removed with endoscopy, but if your pet ingested something it shouldn't have, please ask about this alternative option.

We are happy to report Dr. Buckley was able to remove the piece of tree, and Harry should be feeling back to normal just in time for the holidays! ❤️

Dr. Buckley and Jen met this sweet (yet talkative) girl at Lafayette Animal Hospital 🐾😻

Cricket has been suffering from chronic diarrhea, so an abdominal ultrasound was performed to further investigate. While Cricket was an excellent patient for her imaging, you can see she had a lot to say about it!

Dr. Buckley (a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist and Jen (a Registered Veterinary Technician) recently visited Kodiak Veterinary Hospital. While there, they had the pleasure of meeting not one but two cuties.

Wilson, a Boston Terrier, had an abdominal ultrasound performed to evaluate elevated liver enzymes. Stella, the fluffy Boston mix, had an abdominal ultrasound performed to evaluate for possible Cushing's Disease. Both were excellent patients for their imaging 🐾🎉💜🐶

Thank you to the team at Kodiak Veterinary Hospital for giving us the opportunity to participate in the care of your patients! We look forward to collaborating again in the near future!

Also seen at Lowell Road Veterinary Center, Vivian had a TPLO completed and ACP injections to stimulate her recovery, both performed by Dr. Powers.

Very similar to humans, dogs commonly suffer from injuries to the ligaments (Cranial Cruciate Ligament) and the cartilage (Meniscus) within the knee. Once these tissues are damaged, the knee becomes unstable and this leads to the development of swelling (effusion) within the joint. Dr. Powers and Danny recently visited Lowell Road Veterinary Center and met this cute boy named Myles 🥰. Myles suffered from a condition called Osteochondritis dissecans (also referred to as OCD), which occurs when a small piece of cartilage separates from the joint. This pesky piece of cartilage then becomes a source of inflammation and pain, so Dr. Powers was able to surgically remove the cartilage.

To help speed up his recovery, Myles then received an ACP injection. Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP) is a specific blood product made by concentrating a patient’s own growth factors in a small volume of plasma. These growth factors are then injected into the joint, and help stimulate healing.

Thank you to the team at Lowell Road Veterinary Center for allowing us to participate in the care of your patients. We value our partnership and appreciate having the opportunity to help patients like Myles heal faster! 🐾🎉💜🐶

Dr. Buckley and Jen met Gunner at Lakeside Animal Hospital, and performed a Bronchoscopy to further evaluate his chronic cough.

Bronchoscopy is a minimally invasive tool our Internists utilize to evaluate the respiratory tract for signs of inflammation, infection, foreign material or even masses. A scope, with a camera attached, is passed down the trachea (windpipe) into the lower airways. If abnormalities are noted, samples can be obtained.

We hope Gunner's cough gets better and he begins feeling like himself again soon! Thank you to the team at Lakeside Animal Hospital for allowing us to participate in his care! 🐾❤️🎉

Just look at that sweet face, who happens to belong to Dr. Clifford at Manchester Animal Hospital. Having just received ACP injections in his elbow, we hope he will be feeling better soon! 🐾❤️

Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP) is a specific blood product made by concentrating a patient’s own growth factors in a small volume of plasma. These growth factors are then injected into the area of concern (often a joint), and help stimulate healing. Commonly used for orthopedic injuries, they can reduce pain and inflammation, while improving a patient's mobility.

Team New Hampshire visited Ponemah Animal Hospital to perform a diagnostic endoscopy procedure on sweet Luna. Diagnostic endoscopy is a minimally invasive tool that can be used to visualize the inside of the GI Tract (esophagus, stomach, small intestines, and large intestines). It allows our team of Internists to look for signs of ulcers, foreign material, masses, or changes to the tissue that would suggest underlying disease like Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Using her Karl Storz Endoscopy equipment, Dr. Buckley is also able to obtain biopsies of the various tissues. We partner with Eastern Vet Path, who's team of fantastic pathologists will evaluate these samples and provide further information as to the cause for the symptoms. One of the main benefits of endoscopy is the minimal recovery required! Typically, once patients recover from the anesthesia, they are good as new and can be discharged the same day!

We are looking forward to getting Luna back on track soon and want to thank the team at Ponemah Animal Hospital for allowing us to participate in her care. 💜🐾😽
