Adam and I have been together for six years and I can hardly believe it! This picture is from our summit of Mt. Washington in the White Mountains ⛰️ of New Hampshire in 2015. One of the many hiking trips we've taken since we met. ⁠

We'd only been dating for a few months in this picture but we both already knew we'd one day get married. ⁠Swipe through to see a few more of my favorite moments from the last six years.

The old method of "1 dog year = 7 human years" isn't the most accurate way to age your pup. ⁣

Rather, think of the first year of your dog's life as getting her through adolescence 🧒 Then the second year takes her into adulthood physically. Although she will mature more mentally and emotionally throughout her adulthood- just like in humans!😉⁣

Despite the fact that Abraham Lincoln is credited for "ending slavery" enslaved people were still held in slavery 2.5 years after he signed the Emancipation Proclamation. ⁣

On June 19, 1865 General Granger landed in Galvaston, TX and officially freed the enslaved people of the state. Juneteenth was born and is celebrated as African American Independence Day. 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘈𝘓𝘞𝘈𝘠𝘚 𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘺? ⁣

Happy Friday friends! 🎉 What are your enrichment plans for the weekend? ⁣⁣

June will be doing occupational enrichment Saturday via 2-3 short training sessions during the day. She’ll also get a Licki Mat as enrichment and will be having breakfast out of her stuffed Kong! On Sunday we are planning another 𝘣𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬 🏔🌻which will take up most of her day- and ours! ⁣⁣
