Our pack walks are positive, fun and upbeat! A structured non-judgemental group walk where you can work on fine tuning your pups obedience. Ask us questions and meet other local dog lovers all while having fun socializing and getting exercise this Spring and Summer. We are there to assist anyone who may want help leading their dog.
You can expect to find beautiful photos of you and your pooch working together ❤

We ask that there are no interactions with other dogs and that you keep your dog on a short leash beside you as this is a structured walk.

Location varies and group sizes also.
Walks are based on 1.5 hours
Prices are $35/walk or purchase a 4-pack for $120.
You must pre-book to attend.

*We are happy to walk your dog ourselves if you find you are unable to attend the pack walk. We do require advance notice so please message us for details.

**These walks are typically only open to clients who have already completed private lessons, board and trains or K9 DayCare with Island K9 Lodge. If you are new to us and would like to join please send us a message and we'll meet with you and your pup ahead of time and go over a few things together.

Moose! 😍
Very much a gentle and giant puppy! I am so honoured to work with this sweet and massive boy and his entire Family too. At just over 1 year old he is for the first time ever learning to walk on a leash and learn that jumping on clients is not a great combo when Moose probably weighs close to 150lbs already...give or take.
He was being led on leash by his tiny human yesterday (only 2 days after I introduced Moose to a collar and leash for the very first time) which speaks for itself! Way to go guys leading your pup and I can't wait to work with you again soon and see as a team what you will conquer next. 😎🐾❤

Ollie today feeling very proud of himself as I am of him! 🤗
He went from Ollie bouncy patrol to realizing you can really smell those roses afterall if you just slow it down a notch and take a half second...🌹
Thank you Ollie for reminding me that I also am always working and learning too not just the dogs and their owners. As the handler, I needed to slow waaay down with this boy to help him gain some self control of his bountiful energy.
Way to go Ollie! 💪

Quiet Pack Walk today so brought the kids along to help out! Rosie passed several people while on the bridge today which ended up being a perfect training opportunity for her considering the narrow space for her to walk on by. Yes, obviously I love dogs. I think many people know that. There's certain dogs though that have an extra special place in your heart (and in your home) for numerous different reasons. Rosie is one of those dogs! She is my little buddy ❤
The first time I met her it took me approximately 15 minutes to even get near her inside her own home but I knew her little secret. The secret she didn't want to share, didn't want anyone to know. She wasn't aggressive...she was scared. Scared of people. A 1 year old puppy who was trying to assert herself but lacking the confidence to do so and instead came across to people as aggressive by barking and growling. I slowly entered her tiny barking and lunging bubble on her own turf and that's when she realized her secret with me was over. What she really needed was leadership and working at building her confidence up not extra cuddles and reassurance in that moment that everything was okay like many well meaning owners think. She lives with the sweetest and loving Family who have worked very hard with her and the proof is in the pudding! Big shout out to little Rosie for her new found and ongoing courage but also to her owners for trusting the process on how to build up their sweet pooch and lead her to a more relaxed state of mind. 👍❤

No one ever said it would be easy. In fact, I knew how incredibly hard it would be saying goodbye to you. What I didn't know was how hard it would still be 1 year later to the day. The boys ask about you almost daily...that's how special you are to them. I remind them you're here with us we just can't see you. I feel you though everytime I pick up a leash...especially your leash. The same leash we pounded the pavement with for years at the Ferry Terminals. So many memories. I cherish each one now more than ever.
You were so eager to please me. So eager to load up in my truck and go to work with me each day even though the rain would pound down on us and the wind some days viciously whipping right through us. The way you looked up at me was as if going to work together was the absolute best thing in the world! And it was Pyro...I had it made with a best friend like you by my side. You would have done anything to protect me patrolling those terminals...as I would for you.
The adventures we had together were endless. Camping, cruising, patrolling, detecting, training. Our walks together, sometimes tears were shed, laughter was definitely had and balls were definitely chased...we did it all. You and me.
The day you were sitting shotgun beside me driving to Victoria to meet Cesar Millan and be invited guests on his Live Tour...I was so nervous. Knowing we would be on stage talking in front of thousands of people but you, you were looking at me with your head tilted like you often did looking as cool as a cucumber buddy probably saying "We got this mom...breath and follow my lead!" So I did...I took a deep breath and 1 foot in front of the other we walked out on stage and although I wasn't sure if I would find my voice or not in that moment, I manged to speak although stuttering perhaps, we did it! You shined so bright and the crowd cheered for us...I was so proud of you. What we accomplished together. What a day! Another experience to cherish.
Countless validations in both Patrol and Explosive Detection. If only I had kept track of how many hours of training we put in together. Training with such experienced and amazing people such as Janet, Werner, Mark, Lucian, Dan and everyone else I'm forgetting to mention. All these people coming together who helped me become the best handler I could be for you Pyro. Thank you for the experiences, and the memories. Oh, how I miss those days with you...
Each and every session in scent detection I do with Roxy our Diabetic Alert Dog in Training I feel closer to you. You push me to strive harder to become a better handler. Reminding me to be in the moment, slow down, breathe. You gave me the experience and confidence to train our own Service Dog. She's coming along beautifully Pyro even with big shoes to fill. Every time I reach for her service vest and place it over her head I think of you.
I honestly don't know how many dogs now that I have handled and worked with but you are the 1 dog who I can confidently say forever changed my life. You will continue to be my source of strength and inspiration to keep helping others with their own dogs.
You loved to work...bite work, patrol and scent work, you name it. You loved your Family, you loved everyone you met, you loved your kongs, loved your grass haha and you loved me without judgement and I sure loved you back.
I miss you my boy but I am at peace knowing you're running so fast and free now with all your friends and all the kongs you could possibly want.
As for me...I will honour you by following my heart and my ongoing work with dogs.
