Max is an all black kitten, believe it or not. His strangely colored coat is temporary and the result of an illness he had when he was tiny. He’s got a quirky little personality to match. He’s soo sweet and silly. Max and Ruby can be pre adopted at this time. PLUS, San Antonio Pets Alive is having an adoption special July 5-7, waiving adoption fees in lieu of a donation to our medical center!

Max and Ruby will be available for adoption soon. The photos of Max really aren’t indicative of what he’ll look like as he grows. His fur and whiskers are still growing back and all the silver he’s got in him now will most likely go back to all black eventually. My best guess is that his fur will be a similar length as Ruby’s and full black. His eyes are a very clear grey/green so they’ll be striking against his black coat when it’s all grown back. They are both sweet, playful kittens that love cuddles. 🖤🩶

This, my friends, is little Miracle Max. He is the lone survivor of a litter I took in about a month ago. They had all come to me with a deadly virus called panleukopenia. Despite my best efforts his three siblings didn’t make it but Max pulled through. He’s perfectly healthy now but had lost most of his fur while he was sick. It’s starting to grow back and in the awkward stage we are calling his punk rock phase 🤘🏼😜 Once he was on his way to recovery I brought Ruby home so he’d have a pal. He’s really thrived since she got here. Ruby had also just recovered from panleuk so they had a lot in common. Both of these babies are growing and learning things they missed out on while they were sick. It makes my heart so happy to watch them explore and play and cuddle. They really are little miracles.

I’m finally going to introduce this beautiful little spunky girl. This is Ruby. She has been here for a couple weeks but wasn’t in the best shape and did not want a less than flattering photo of her living forever on the internet. She is now ready for her close up 📸
