Today is bittersweet; it’s Chapel and Gallico‘s second adoption anniversary. Gallico knew nothing but love in his short time with me. It’s hard knowing he didn’t get to grow old with his best friend Chapel. Chapel is thriving as a house cat and brings me so much joy

I think it’s safe to say Chapel’s given up his feral card. Thank you all for your kind words and support after Gallico’s passing. We all miss him, but are doing ok

I’m sad to report that Gallico passed away yesterday. He was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma in his GI tract early this year. Unfortunately, the cancer didn’t respond to any of the chemotherapies we tried. Gallico got lay in the sun and have last snuggles with Chapel yesterday. He crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully in my lap to meet up with Horizon for his next adventure

A slightly different post today. Majesty had special black and white whiskers so I always knew they were hers when I found them. I had the amazing Volana Kote make a pendant with Majesty’s whiskers. She matched Majesty’s eyes perfectly. It’s a beautiful keepsake that I treasure. I also had the pleasure of meeting Jen last summer and I cannot say enough nice things about her.

Happy Valentine’s Day from the bestest of friends

This is an incredibly hard post to write. Majesty passed away last week. Her kidneys failed and I had to let her go.

Over the summer her kidney disease rapidly progressed. With hospitalization, medication, and daily sub q fluids Majesty’s kidney values were stabilized and we had several good months. Majesty had a good quality of life and most importantly she was happy.

She very suddenly started not feeling well. We tried everything, but she didn’t respond to treatment. Majesty passed away peacefully in my lap at home. She was such a sweet, loving cat. I miss her so much.

Two years ago today I drove to Canada in the middle of a pandemic to pick up Majesty and Sonya. It’s been an incredible two years watching them flourish and seeing their personalities come out. Majesty is just the sweetest, most loving cat. She’s become a total cuddle bug and sleeps with me most nights. Sonya is sassy and curious, but also a total attention seeker. She likes to get up on the table while I’m reading the paper and demand pets. They are absolute joys. Happy adoptiversary to my sweet girls .

Happy one year adoptiversary to the best snuggle buddies. Chapel has completely given up his feral card and is enjoying the retired indoor life. Gallico loves back scratches on his terms and is comfortable around the entire house.
