'Til death do us part - loving old horses. 🐴
There once was a time when the most fulfilling part of my days were the hustle and bustle of young riders and young horses busying themselves around our stables. Our boarding services supported the learning and growth and ambitions of countless equestrians riding with determination towards their futures...the experiences we shared are treasured memories for me and my whole family.
As the years passed by, and our 4-legged friends honored our goals and enabled our achievements, we turned to a slower pace - one that might hopefully extend our time together. My fulfillment evolved to come from offering my old friends the space and care they deserved to age in comfort and with dignity. But all good things must come to an end, and letting go is a part of the journey we all have to accept when we choose this life.
These days, we choose to care for old horses...offering full care compassionate retirement services to those that have served their families and earned a peaceful place to live out the last chapter of their lives...my fulfillment now comes from offering peace of mind to their owners that they are well cared for...till the end. Retirement care isn't simply a means to charge more for your average board. Our seniors get the individualized care they require, and their owners don't get nickle and dimed with add-ons...our care includes feed, handling, annual health assessments, vaccinations, coggins, farrier care, and ultimately - burial services. I recognize that many owners don't have the means to personally provide these accommodations to their best good friends...and that is why I am happy to open my stables to them.
These days, there is little hustle and bustle...intermittent family visits, regular grooming, photo/video ops, vet checks, and farrier appointments account for the majority of the activity now. Mostly, it's quiet...and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you for our faithful boarders who have entrusted u
