🌟 Meet Rescues #458, #459, #460, and #461 of the year! We've now taken in a total of 127 pets from the French Lick area.

When we received these photos, we knew we had to help. These four kittens were found trapped inside a concrete block, surrounded by screws and broken glass, in the sweltering 95-degree heat.

Thanks to our amazing friends at ARPO, these little ones quickly found a loving foster home. This marks the 29th pet this year that ARPO has stepped up to help save. We are so grateful for their support and the loving families who open their homes and hearts. ❤️

Un-spayed and un-neutered pet cats account for the vast majority of feral/stray cats in our communities. Either those cats directly were/are considered pets or the cats we find in our communities are descended from those pets.

After careful consideration and with heavy hearts, Springs Valley Pet Services has made the decision to conclude our pet intake program.

Over the course of this year, our dedicated team has successfully rescued 457 pets throughout Southern Indiana. From essential supplies and medical care to transportation costs and more, this support requires significant resources. Thankfully, our passionate volunteers generously donate their time, and our rescue partners provide vital assistance. Meet Rescue #457 and #158 from Paoli this year!

This little one was found fending for himself on Hospital Road in Paoli. His caregiver was worried about the dangers of the busy road and other animals, so they reached out to us for help. Now, he's safe, well-fed, and enjoying all the love from his foster family. 😻

Remember, spaying or neutering a feral or community cat in your neighborhood can make all the difference. Let's keep them safe together!

This cutie patootie was found all alone and needed bottle fed. Of course we said yes and now several weeks later, she’s graduated into eating on her own. She’s also keeping the new bottle baby company with lots of playtime and snuggles. ❤️

Meet our newest houseguest, Xavier—he's as polite as he is handsome! Earlier this year, he became the 252nd pet to be altered at Orange County Animal Clinic. We're incredibly grateful for their ongoing support in helping us care for these wonderful pets.

We were asked to take in this precious three-week-old kitten after his mother was tragically found deceased. Without hesitation, we said yes. He’s now thriving and is the cutest little bundle of joy! 😻

On August 12, sweet Piper survived a house fire in Paoli, thanks to the quick actions of EMS who revived her on the scene. Unfortunately, her caregiver was unable to continue caring for her and reached out to us for help. Dr. Allen at Orange County Animal Clinic examined Piper and provided the necessary medication to ease her coughing.

We are incredibly grateful to our friends at Rosie’s Southside Animal Rescue, who immediately stepped up to find Piper a loving foster family. She is now in good hands, receiving the medical care she needs. Thank you for your continued support!

Meet Miller, Minnie, Marty, Mak, Miley, Meeko

We received a message asking to take in six sick kittens who were living outside. The owner is asking us for help with her over populated stray/friendly cats and kittens. Most of the colony is suffering the same respiratory and eye problems. Due to the lack of funding and space, we are only able to help with these six right now.

The six kittens are receiving Terramycin, dewormer, flea and tick prevention, and an antibiotic along with a probiotic. They are in the process of healing and cleaning up. If you would like to donate, please message our page! We appreciate all donations. 🐈‍⬛😺🎉

Meet Marnie!

We received a message asking to take in a kitten who was wondering about in the street. The kitten seemed sick with an upper respiratory problem and eye troubles. We took her in as soon as possible. She was having trouble eating due to the severity of her illness. But thanks to Viralys and Terramycin, she was back to herself!

Marnie is a precious kitty who loves to snuggle, play with her wand toys and scratch posts. She loves to eat Ge**er chicken baby food!

Meet Cece!

We received a message asking to take in a young teenager. She was a stray cat who was living outside by herself. The person who reached out to our page said she went looking for the owner but no claims were made.

Cece is a beautiful torti cat with a loving personality. She wants to be with you wherever you go. We were able to give her flea and tick prevention, dewormer, Viralys and a probiotic!

Meet Ruthie, Chompers, Wolfy

We received a message asking to take in some adult cats from a local who is in need of rehoming 15 in total due to their landlord’s policy. We are trying our best to help these cats! Due to funding and limited space, we could only take in these 3 beauties as of now.

Ruthie had some medical issues so she was placed with a rescue up north for her needs. Chompers and Wolfy are still with us as of now!

Crawford County Friends!

We have recently starting accepting the Crawford County SNAP Voucher at the Dubois County Humane Society Spay and Neuter Clinic.

Each Crawford County household is eligible for two vouchers annually. The voucher is good for $20 off per cat spay/neuter and $35 per dog spay/neuter.

Vouchers can be picked up at the Crawford County Auditors Office.

Appointments for Spay/Neuter Surgery can be made online at https://www.duboiscountyhumane.org/make-a-vet-clinic-appointment.html and please note your have a CC Snap Voucher.
