We just welcomed this year's rescues #497 and 498 and intakes #1 and 2 from Petersburg into our care!

We’re incredibly grateful to our amazing rescue partners for stepping up and saying YES to these cuties! They’ve been transported to a loving foster home where they'll receive vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, and microchips. Once they're old enough, they'll also be spayed or neutered before choosing their forever families.

As overnight temperatures drop, cats often seek warmth under car hoods and in wheel wells, especially outdoor cats. Before starting your car, please take a moment to check for any furry friends that might have taken refuge near the engine. A quick tap on the hood or honk of the horn can help prevent a tragic accident.

Heartbreaking story, pic for attention, please read.

Last weekend a friend told me a story. Yes, she is local here. Last month she was walking along her road, and found a bag and it was moving. Inside the bag was 4 puppies. Someone had thrown this bag from a car, and left the puppies along side the road to die. Two of them had already passed. Two more were alive, but one died that night, and the other died a day or two after. Why...... why would anyone do this? How can people be so heartless?
You see..... this is what happens when you don't spay and neuter animals.
Animals do what animals do..... the reproduce if they are not altered.
Please.... we beg you. Please spay and neuter your animals.
If you have stray cats that you are feeding in your area..... please message us. Right now there is some funding with another nonprofit that is helping to pay for alterations.

Yes we are still in the process of getting our nonprofit status. But honestly......we need help. WE need more volunteers. We need people who are willing to step up and be the voice for the voiceless. We need people who love animals and who want to try to help them.

If you could please volunteer maybe an hour or two a week, that would make a HUGE difference.
Do you spend an hour binge watching a show? Do you spend an hour scrolling on your phone? Do you spend an hour watching sports on tv?
If the answer to the above questions is yes..... then you may have that hour to help us out!

Please message us if you would like to volunteer. It doesn't have to be a lot. But every hour add us! Just like every fix we do, it adds up!!!

Southern Indiana residents can get FREE Cat Spay Neuter at Alley Cat Advocates in Louisville Kentucky. This is a special temporary offer. Clinic is on Newburg Road. Call to make appt.
Drop off cats 7:30 - 8:30 pm
Pick up cats two nights later .

When u call ACA leave a short message on voice mail, include the best days and times you can be reached. They will call u back. It might take 3,4,5 days to get a return call. ACA will try 3 times to call you. After that u would need to call again. ACA takes messages only, they do NOT answer incoming calls.

If you are told there is a fee let me know.

They will NOT do house cats.

Kittens can be done 6-8 weeks as long as they weigh 2 pounds.

Included for all cats:
Spay Neuter, Full Exam, Flea and Ear Mite Treatment, Wormer, Vaccinations.

You can schedule 10 cats at a time from one property.

DO NOT mix cats from more than one location per appt. You could cost the cats their lives if you mix up the cats and where they came from.

Follow ACA rules and they will work with you to get your cats done.

#164, 165, 166, 167, 168, and 169 taken in from Paoli this year.

We are happy to welcome these sweet babies into our home. These little ones will stay with us for a few days before being transported to a partner rescue. Their mom will be spayed on Friday and will remain with her caregiver.

Let's all do our part! Please consider spaying or neutering a homeless pet in your neighborhood to help reduce the number of animals in need. ❤️

The vouchers must be ordered online, we do not have any in hand.

#128, 129, and 130 intake from French Lick

Renters on Indiana Avenue moved and failed to take these small kittens and mom with them.😡 Caring neighbors are feeding them until we can find placement. Mom is semi feral and will need to be trapped and altered so she continue to stay in the neighborhood. Thank you, to the people that have taken on their neighbors responsibility.

🌟 Meet Rescues #458, #459, #460, and #461 of the year! We've now taken in a total of 127 pets from the French Lick area.

When we received these photos, we knew we had to help. These four kittens were found trapped inside a concrete block, surrounded by screws and broken glass, in the sweltering 95-degree heat.

Thanks to our amazing friends at ARPO, these little ones quickly found a loving foster home. This marks the 29th pet this year that ARPO has stepped up to help save. We are so grateful for their support and the loving families who open their homes and hearts. ❤️

Un-spayed and un-neutered pet cats account for the vast majority of feral/stray cats in our communities. Either those cats directly were/are considered pets or the cats we find in our communities are descended from those pets.
