Last week we brought in 6 cats from Washoe County Regional Animal Services. Take a look at how well they are already doing! 💖❤️💜
Siranna, Linus, Saru, and MJ had their booster shots at the vet today!
While Linus is heading to his new home this evening, Siranna, Saru, and MJ are still patiently waiting for their forever families to find them. Could one of them be the perfect addition to your home?
Meet Siranna, a sweet and affectionate little girl who's been waiting patiently for her forever home and growing bigger by the day.
Despite her siblings slowly finding their families, Siranna hasn't received a single application.
She's been in our care since she was just a tiny, nursing baby, back in May and is now more than ready to bring love and joy to a new home.
If you're looking for a loving companion, please consider applying through the link below:

Your kindness and support mean the world to us and make a tremendous difference in the lives of the feral cats and kittens we care for.
We also want to extend a big Thank you to Katie Grace Foundation for their generous donation of cat (and dog) food, and Your Local Pet Station for their monthly donation today!
Thanks to you all, not only can we can continue providing the food, supplies, and comfort these angels need to thrive,
But also help the members of our community who may need pet food assistance at this time!
❤️💖
Can we find a foster or forever home for these two kittens?
It literally means the difference if their life and death.
Without a safe placement, they will be returned back to the streets of downtown Reno.
They will need socialization and extra TLC
This beautiful angel was dropped off to animal control as a feral kitten. Yesterday she entered one of our amazing foster homes and the same night, ✨something magical happened…….✨
🐾 New Rescues: Six cats Saved! 🐾
Today, we pulled six more precious cats from our local animal control, giving them a second chance at a loving future.
We handed over the last bag of dry kitten food to one of our fosters this evening and we’re in need of cat food to keep their bellies full and happy.
Additionally, we are out of microchips and needing to order more so that every cat we save has a secure future.
$246 gets us 25 microchips
If you can help with a donation or a bag of cat food, it would make a world of difference for these little ones.
Thank you, as always, for standing by us and helping these cats find their way home.

So many little lives are depending on us to come together for them!
✨🤞🏼✨
Woo Hoo!
🎉
TWO more adoptions!
Mango AND Stanley both went home today!
Stanley didn’t do an adoption picture because he was being shy so here is the last picture that Stanley and I took together!
Both of these cats came from Washoe County Regional Animal Services and these adoptions allow us to take in more cats from there that are critically in need.
Stay tuned for our next post showing the cats we saw there today needing rescue.
I don’t usually make special posts for special cat days like “National Cat Day” or “Orange Cat Appreciation Day” or whatever silly cat day it is because every single day is Cat Day in this lifetime.
HOWEVER, this day sparks my interest because from my experience, black cats are generally ALWAYS the last to be adopted.
MJ and Merlin are the prime examples of this.
They both are extremely sweet, loving, playful, outgoing, like everything that someone could ask for in the purrrfect kitten, but here they are.
Still waiting. For months now. Growing each day, which further reduces people’s interest.
Do multi-colored or bright colored cats get adopted first because they stand out first to people?
have fascinating colors or patterns?
Is it because there are still lingering superstitions about black cats?
It’s something myself nor our kittens will ever understand, as they wait in shelters or foster homes the longest.
Is there a “cat equality” day?
Please enjoy these pictures of our current black kittens patiently waiting for homes.
Earlier this week, we posted about the arrival of 3 new kittens from the large colony we worked tirelessly trapping at last year.
These kittens bring the total to 120 cats that we have trapped from this colony.
Each of these little ones carry a special name that means "last", as we hold onto hope that they will be the final kittens to be born there.
Please welcome Azenor, Dova, and Fina to our feral family.
Stay tuned for updates on their journey as they grow and thrive, and if you're interested in helping with their care or giving one of these babes a home, please reach out!
We had another big adoption tonight!
💖Gaia 💖
Gaia is our 11 year old cat who came from Washoe County Regional Animal Services.
She was severely anemic, dehydrated, and sick.
We thought we were going to lose her over 4th of July weekend when she took a downhill spiral, and ended up in urgent care, but with some routine vet care at our amazing vet LuxPet Vet, and lots of TLC, she is strong, healthy, and ADOPTED!
❤️❤️❤️
You know what this picture means!

Over the weekend, Sawyer got adopted!
❤️💖
Look how well he is adjusting to his new home in just a few short days.
A few months ago he was at Washoe County Regional Animal Services as one of their most critical cats facing euthanasia due to lack of space, and him being extremely fearful and shut down which resulted in no other other organizations pulling him.
We are so grateful to have been able to save his life and watch him grow into the silly guy he is today!
✨
I’ve heard a few casual comments about Stanley having a sad or grumpy face, but if you knew Stanley then you’d know that’s his snuggle face.
And he ALWAYS has love on his mind 💖
He is such a tender, gentle cat and wants to love and be loved all the time.
He is a little more reserved when strangers come over, which has caused people to lose interest, but we are hoping the right person will look past that and trust us when we say he is extremely sweet and loving.
Given his quiet nature, he would do best in a mature home with minimum chaos, and extra lap time.
Other cats and dogs in the home are fine!
Please apply in the link below to chat more about him:

We've been keeping an eye on these three kittens for the past few weeks, waiting for the right moment to bring them in once we had foster space available, and to allow them to spend as much essential time with their momma as possible.
(Mom was brought in for TNR about 4 weeks ago, and when we picked her up, we were informed that she was lactating—so we knew a kitten sighting was just around the corner!)
Last night, Ashlynn successfully trapped them, and today they’re at our vet to receive flea treatment and their first round of vaccines.
Hoping these will be the last kittens at this mobile home park as this is the same location we trapped 115 cats at last year.
We need these kittens adopted asap as their foster family is leaving town in two weeks!
MJ watched as her siblings left one by one, and now, she's left all by herself wondering when it will be her turn.
She's a little bundle of joy with so much love to give, but for some reason, she's been overlooked. 😢
MJ is playful, affectionate, and outgoing.
She's hoping someone will see just how special she is and give her the forever home she deserves.
If you or someone you know is looking for a furry friend, please consider MJ.
Let's not let this sweet girl wait any longer.
Spread the word and help us find MJ the loving family she’s been patiently waiting for. 🏡❤️

Samson has graduated from the multi-level cage to the tent!
When socializing feral or skittish cats, or in Sampson’s case, rebuilding the trust with humans and recovering from trauma, it is extremely important to start the cat in a small, enclosed area where they feel safe, secure, and unable to inappropriately hide, such as under furniture.
Allowing a scared or feral cat too much space, creates more fear, uncertainty, and insecurities with people and their environment.
The tent is the last step before being allowed full access to the living room.
🔑 His golden ticket out will be when he is comfortable being completely handled, held, openly seeks out physical touch, and when I feel confident that HE is confident and won’t hide under the couch.

Pssttt: Can you guess which kitten this is?!
Remember last month’s heartwarming tale about Timber, our kitten who found his forever home all the way in Oregon?
It’s a story that’s taken another delightful twist!
Timber was adopted by a woman named Keziah, who was here visiting her sister here in Reno.
Keziah initially came along just for moral support during her sister’s meet-and-greet with Timber, but she couldn’t resist his charm and ended up taking him back to Oregon herself!
But here’s where it gets even better—she recently made the drive all the way back to Reno just to adopt another one of our furry friends, Moose!
AND Moose was being fostered by her sister—the very same one who originally came to meet Timber in the first place!
Isn’t that wild?!
Sometimes, the best stories are the ones you couldn’t have imagined!
❤️😭
I’ve come to realize something in the last year:
there is such thing as being so selfless that you are actually being selfish.
I realized this last August when I was spending my every day in a homeless camp helping not only the cats, but the people.
On more than one occasion I asked friends and my followers for supplies and money to provide food and other items for the homeless people I was helping Sterilize cats for.
What nobody knew was that for the majority of last year, I had no paying job, I was doing dog nails to pay my mortgage, and I was hitting the food bank to get the majority of my own groceries for the week.
I quit my job earlier in the year and invested every single day to helping cats, and the community that desperately needed my help.
Afterall, how does someone work a job, trap 356 cats, run said cats to the vet 3-4, sometimes 5 days a week, host meet and greets in my home, and my fosters homes, do adoptions, AND respond to dozens of calls, texts, emails daily from the public needing assistance? Not to mention care for the numerous cats lining my living room in cages.
I spent last year catering to every single other person except myself and my daughter.
Putting both of us last.
Every. Single. Day.
Playing Russian roulette each month not knowing if that was the month I couldn’t pay my bills.
I had finally Burned completely out by December.
I’m still burned out.
My TNR numbers are going to be sh*t this year, and I decline more people than I help.
But I’m re-learning how to put our needs first, my daughter’s time first, and saying no to helping because I just physically can’t anymore.
This year, I am fortunate to have worked my way out of the dark hole and treat myself and my daughter to a vacation, reflect on the year we had last year and truly say there comes a point when you are being so selfless, that you become selfish.
Why am I posting this on my rescue page you may ask?
Because people assume that when they are reaching out to an organization like ours, that it’s like reaching out to the humane society where it is composed of a huge team of employees that are paid to rescue cats and help the public.
People demand that you help them, take in personal cats they can’t keep, and rush down to their house to rescue kittens in THEIR bushes.
But surprise: there are no employees.
There are no large teams, or multiple people working to trap your feral cats and pick up your feral kittens.
I am one human actually.
Taking on the workload of at least 20 humans.
With 1 volunteer trapper, and a small handful of gracious foster families.
I can only do so much,
I can only help so many,
I can only invest so much personal time responding to the same redundant questions that can be answered if you just look on my website like my voicemail says.
I hope this helps bring to light the reality that not just myself faces, but what millions of other rescuers face, fighting the same fight,
struggling to stay above water, and trying daily not to have a mental breakdown because we can’t keep up with the high demands.
So please,
Be kind.
Be patient.
Be understanding.
And for the love of God, fix your cats and trap your own ferals.

ZERO applications for Sawyer.
Such a shame. Y’all are missing out!
This guy is quite the character.
For one: he likes to smell EVERYTHING—
Strangers when they come over to meet other cats, your pant leg when you get home, your face after you’ve eaten something tasty.
Which reminds me:
do you have a sweet tooth?
So does Sawyer!
His favorite dessert is chocolate pudding.
He is so cool and easy going, and super silly and derpy.
His favorite spot is the top perch of the tallest cat tree.
He’s gets along great with everyone!
Not to mention, he makes the cutest chirps and chatters.
🥰🥰

Meet Merlin
🐟🐟
Merlin is another fortunate rescue from our local animal control, where he faced the risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding.
This charming kitten is exceptionally loving, laid-back, and enjoys both snuggling and playing.
He was a standout at last weekend's Art Paws event, capturing everyone's hearts!
Merlin is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and eagerly waiting to join your family today.

Meet #202: the most urgent cat At Washoe County Regional Animal Services that we recently rescued! Fun Fact: he came from the same house as Sawyer and Stanley
One of the cats we pulled yesterday has me wondering what her story is. And although we will never hear her previous chapters, I know we can promise her a good ending. We named her Gaia. Momma Gaia. 🌍 💖 (We will be seeking vet care for her next week and a forever home ASAP! Please consider giving her the happy ending she deserves Foster to adopt will be considered! )

💖Mini Mew 💖 is still waiting for her forever home. She is 2 years old, loves other cats, a bit shy around new people at first but will warm up, and loves playing. Please help us get Mini into her forever home by sharing this post! Apply here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/162tk9DC7dX7-MzQPlk4hjOrWvYPipKNbMNaVrjQGihQ/edit Mini came from a very large colony of cats (over 110) that we have spent a long time trapping at. We got word that a very nasty resident in the mobile home park has been trapping cats and releasing them in the hills so any cats that are eligible for a home, need to get out of there for their safety. However, when cats like Mini, sit in our foster homes for an extended period of time, we cannot save any more until we move our current ones first.
…..and then there was one. ☝🏽 Tiny, lonely, lonely Timber. All by himself after Splinter, Pallet, and mom have all left the nest. Unfortunately, when a cat displays shy, timid, withdrawn, hissing, or sometimes even aggressive behavior in a shelter environment, it is quick to be deemed feral. Often times though, cats don’t do well in a stressful shelter environment, and despite being friendly, will display these behaviors even when they aren’t feral. Deeming a cat feral leaves very little options, none of which are ideal, especially when when the cat comes from an inside home: 1. Fix and Return to field (which in cases of hoarding, neglect, owner death, etc, isn’t really an option). Now, with ferals that came from the outdoors, this is a great choice. 2. Place in barn cat program (IF the local shelter pulls the cat from animal control and transfers them into their care) 3. Fix and relocate to a new feral colony 4. Euthanasia In this case, around a dozen feral deemed cats have been sitting in our local animal control for an entire month while the staff awaits for a shelter/rescue to pull them or for another solution to present. But realistically, shelters and rescues don’t have the capacity or placement options for a bunch of feral or shy, hard-to-adopt cats, when everyone is already overflowing with social, highly adoptable cats. So they sit. And they wait. And they wait. Luckily, @optionsveterinarycare noticed this group of cats awaiting for their outcomes, and reached out to the community for help! (I believe most have been secured at this point and have gone to rescues and fosters, where they will be evaluated to see if they are truly feral or friendly and decisions will then be made accordingly.) Fortunately, This guy looks like he will have a shot at adoption! #feral #feralcat #feralcats #cats #notferal #justshutdown #rescue #community #reno #nevada #spayandneuter Day 2 Progress:

We have received numerous messages today inquiring about adopting our tiny kittens that will NOT be ready for at least another month. So we are here to show off ⭐️Jiji⭐️ who IS ready for a home. Jiji is a very affectionate kitten that loves face to face snuggles and kisses. She is an explorer and a bit of a prankster. She enjoys hiding behind doors and couch cushions and popping out to ambush her foster kitty friends as they unknowingly pass by her. She is very expressive and quick to love and befriend people and other cats. She will be fixed and ready to go home on 5/30. She is approximately 12 weeks old. She must have another young cat companion in the home. Please apply here to chat more about her : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/162tk9DC7dX7-MzQPlk4hjOrWvYPipKNbMNaVrjQGihQ/edit
